3 months agoJulian Marquez suffered a 20-second knockout loss to Zach Reese at UFC Louisville on Saturday. Marquez was ending his 15-month layoff and right when the bell rang, Reese began walking down Marquez. Marquez was kicked in the body which appeared to hurt him. Reese then landed a big uppercut that dropped Marquez and he was finished off with hammerfists on the ground. With the loss, Marquez is now 9-5 as a pro and 3-4 in the UFC while is now on a three-fight losing skid and could be released following the loss.Source: UFC
3 months agoZach Reese scored a 20-second knockout win over Julian Marquez on the main card of UFC Louisville. Reese was coming off a KO loss to Cody Brundage in his UFC debut back in December. Reese landed a big body kick which did appear to hurt Marquez and followed it up with an uppercut that knocked Marquez out just 20 seconds into the fight. With the win, Reese is now 1-1 in the UFC and is 7-1 as a pro with all of his fights ending in the first round.Source: UFC
3 months agoRicky Turcios suffered a second-round submission loss to Raul Rosas Jr. on Saturday on the main card of UFC Louisville. Turcios entered the fight as the underdog, and he struggled to defend the takedowns of Rosas Jr. as he was controlled for over three minutes in the first round. In the second round, Turcios was taken down twice, eventually giving up his back and being submitted by a rear-naked choke. With the loss, Turcios is now 2-2 in the UFC and has alternated wins and losses since winning TUF 28.Source: UFC
3 months agoRaul Rosas Jr. scored a second-round submission win over Ricky Turcios on the main card of UFC Louisville on Saturday. Rosas Jr. entered the fight as the favorite and in the first round, he got Turcios down and had 3:40 of control time. After dominating the first round on the mat, Rosas Jr. got Turcios back down to the ground and eventually ahold of his back and sunk in a rear naked choke. With the win, Rosas Jr. is now 9-1 as a pro and 3-1 in the UFC, with all three wins coming by stoppage. Rosas Jr. is now likely a win away from fighting a ranked opponent.Source: UFC
3 months agoDustin Jacoby suffered a first-round knockout loss to Dominick Reyes at UFC Louisville on Saturday. Jacoby entered the fight as the favorite, and from the get-go, he was active on the feet landing some heavy shots. But, Jacoby got caught by a hook that sent him stumbling backwards and Reyes then landed a knee that dropped him. Jacoby wasn't able to recover as Reyes continued to land punches and the fight was stopped. With the loss, Jacoby is now on a two-fight losing streak and is 1-4 in his last five.Source: UFC
3 months agoDominick Reyes returned to the win column in a big way as he scored a first-round knockout win over Dustin Jacoby in the co-main event of UFC Louisville. Reyes last fought in November of 2022 when he was knocked out by Ryan Spann which was his fourth straight loss, and third in a row by KO. From the get-go, Reyes was active on the feet and landed a big hook that sent Jacoby stumbling. He then landed a knee that dropped Jacoby and after landing some more punches the ref stopped the fight. With the win, Reyes is now 13-4 as a pro and 7-4 in the UFC.
