1 day agoThe Minnesota Vikings D/ST has been incredible through three weeks and has a tempting matchup in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings became the first team in over 20 years to accumulate five or more sacks in each of the first three games, a dream for a fantasy D/ST. The Packers will be running with Malik Willis, a limited passer, or with hobbled Jordan Love (knee), who could be limited with a knee injury. Starting the Vikings' D/ST hasn't disappointed anyone yet this season, and it should be a solid play again in Week 4.--Bruce Clark - RotoBallerSource: Pro Football Reference

1 day agoMinnesota Vikings kicker Will Reichard is looking to build off his back-to-back double-digit outings in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers. The rookie kicker in Minnesota is one of only four kickers to score 10 or more points in each of the last two weeks and is one of only nine kickers to have made every kick attempt so far this season. Given how efficient the Vikings' offense has been and how average the Packers' defense has been, Reichard is likely a solid play for those who stream their kickers.--Bruce Clark - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

1 day agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (groin) is listed as questionable to face the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday in Week 4. Johnson popped up on the Week 4 injury report after missing practice on Thursday, but he was able to return to the practice field on Friday, giving him a shot to play this weekend. Johnson's status looms even larger after Carolina placed fellow wideout Adam Thielen (hamstring) on Injured Reserve earlier this week. If Johnson is limited or out in Week 4, that takes out the Panthers' top two receiving options for veteran Andy Dalton. Even if Johnson suits up on Sunday, rookie Xavier Legette should be in for an expanded role, making him worth a look as a WR4/flex play in deeper fantasy leagues against a Bengals defense that isn't scaring anyone. Jonathan Mingo would serve as Carolina's No. 2 WR if Johnson isn't given the green light.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: The Athletic - Joe Person

1 day agoDespite solid performances in Weeks 1 and 2, Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner struggled to find running room in the Week 3 loss to the Detroit Lions, managing just 17 rushing yards. This has raised concerns among fantasy managers, especially after Conner had been viewed as a reliable starter across all league formats. However, there's no need for drastic reactions just yet. Conner remains a high-end RB2 heading into Week 4, with a favorable matchup against a Washington Commanders defense that ranks 20th in fantasy points allowed to running backs. In Week 3, the Commanders allowed Zack Moss to post his season-high performance. With the absence of tight end Trey McBride, Conner could also see an uptick in targets, boosting his potential even further. He remains a must-start for Week 4.--Cody Pestino - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

1 day agoMinnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones gets an opportunity to play against his long-time former team, the Green Bay Packers, in Week 4, and he is set up to have a big game. The former Packer has been a top running back for fantasy in PPR formats to this point and will be playing against one of the worst rush defenses in the league. The Packers' defense allowed 140 or more yards on the ground in two of the three games thus far, allowing two running backs to accumulate over 130 total yards against them. The Vikings have committed to the ground game thus far, with nearly 23 rushing attempts per game for their running backs. Expect Jones to have another solid outing in Week 4.--Bruce Clark - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

1 day agoAfter a subpar performance by his usual standards, Kyler Murray faces a favorable matchup in Week 4 against the Washington Commanders. Washington's pass defense ranks 31st in the NFL, allowing an average of 255.7 passing yards per game. They also rank dead last in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. While the Commanders' pass rush hasn't made a significant impact early this season, the Cardinals' offensive line should have little trouble keeping Murray upright. Adding to the advantage, Washington is coming off a short week and will be playing their second consecutive road game, which could lead to fatigue. Fantasy managers should not hesitate to start Murray with sky-high expectations for Week 4.--Cody Pestino - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

1 day agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold (knee) has been nothing short of remarkable to open the NFL season. The 27-year-old tweaked his knee on Sunday against the Texans, though he has been removed from the injury report as he will look to build on his league-leading eight touchdowns in Week 4's matchup against the Green Bay Packers. The former first-round pick sits as a top-five fantasy quarterback through three games despite being drafted outside of the top 25 QBs by ADP before the season, and he likely gets wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) back for this game. Darnold faces an average-to-below-average Packers passing defense that has yet to be tested by a true pocket passer like Darnold. While he may not be a top-five fantasy option this week, Darnold is a viable starting option in standard leagues and even better in six-point passing touchdown leagues this week.--Bruce Clark - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

1 day agoHouston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) was seen at practice on Friday and is trending toward playing in Week 4 on Sunday versus the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars. Collins was added to the Week 4 injury report after putting in a limited practice on Thursday. Fantasy managers should check back to see what Collins' official status is for the weekend, but even if he's questionable, it appears that he's on the right side of questionable after not missing any practice time this week. The 25-year-old pass-catcher should be in all starting fantasy lineups against a porous Jags defense if he's active, especially with fellow wideout Tank Dell (chest) unlikely to play. Collins went over 100 yards receiving in each of the first two weeks despite the addition of Stefon Diggs in the offseason, and he currently leads the league with 112.7 yards per game.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: KPRC 2 Sports - Aaron Wilson

1 day agoAfter missing the last two games with an ankle injury, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) plans to play in a big Week 4 divisional game at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. After a second straight day of limited practice on Thursday, Addison said that he's "ready to go" and expects to play on Sunday. Fantasy managers will want to check Minnesota's final injury report on Friday, but all signs are pointing towards Addison making his return this weekend, which is certainly good news for the 3-0 Vikings. It's bad news for anyone that has plucked Jalen Nailor off the waiver wire in recent weeks, though, after he has scored a touchdown in each of the team's first three games of 2024. Addison, who had 911 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie in 2023, caught just three of four targets for 35 yards in the season-opening win over the New York Giants.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Mark Craig

1 day agoArizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said there are no concerns with rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (quadriceps) for the Week 4 contest versus the Washington Commanders. Harrison was added to the injury report this week but was able to put in limited practices on both Wednesday and Thursday. It sounds like the 22-year-old was just getting a little extra rest this week and should be fine to suit up this Sunday. Harrison laid an egg in his NFL debut in the Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills but has been heavily involved the last two games, catching nine of 19 targets for 194 yards and three touchdowns. Fantasy managers surely would like to see more efficiency from the Harrison-Kyler Murray combination, but the fourth overall pick in this year's draft remains a must-start in fantasy lineups. Harrison could have another banner day against a suspect Commanders secondary in Week 4. UPDATE: Harrison was officially cleared for Week 4.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Arizona Sports - Tyler Drake

1 day agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (concussion) was not seen at the portion of Friday's practice open to the media. Smith also didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday, so he's trending towards being ruled out for the Week 4 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday after suffering a concussion on a cheap shot in the Week 3 win over the New Orleans Saints. Fantasy managers will want to check back for the 25-year-old's official status later in the day, but there's a good chance they won't have him available this weekend. A.J. Brown (hamstring) returned to practice on Friday after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but it's still unknown if he'll play against Tampa. If both Brown and Smith are unable to go, tight end Dallas Goedert could be in line for another monster game.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Philly Voice - Jimmy Kempski

1 day agoDallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson caught all seven of his targets for 49 yards in Thursday's victory over the New York Giants. This was another strong outing for the 25-year-old as he caught six of his 11 targets for 95 yards last week against the Baltimore Ravens. After missing the second game of the season due to an MCL sprain, the tight end has bounced back quite well and should be viewed as a safe TE1 going forward. Ferguson has established himself as the clear No.2 pass-catching option behind CeeDee Lamb and should see a consistent amount of targets on a weekly basis. Ferguson should be locked into all starting lineups next weekend even though he will face a tough Pittsburgh Steelers defense.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com
