2 months agoAbdul Razak Alhassan (12-6) is set to open the UFC Denver main card against Cody Brundage. Alhassan is coming off a submission loss to Joe Pyfer back in October in his fifth fight at middleweight since moving up in weight. Alhassan enters UFC Denver as the favorite as DraftKings has him at a salary of $8,500. In the UFC, Alhassan is 6-6 with all six of his wins by knockout while he's been finished twice. Since moving up to middleweight, he's 2-3 and if he does get past Brundage at UFC Denver, he likely saves his UFC job as he is just 2-5 in his last seven.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 months agoJulian Erosa (29-11) is set to take on Christian Rodriguez on Saturday on the main card of UFC Denver. Erosa is coming off a first-round submission win over Ricardo Ramos but enters this bout as a big underdog as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,300. Erosa is 7-7 in the UFC with four wins by stoppage, while six of his losses have come by knockout. If Erosa can pull off the upset against Rodriguez he could get a ranked opponent next time out as he looks to derail the hype of Rodriguez.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 months agoChristian Rodriguez (11-1) is set to take on Julian Erosa on the main card of UFC Denver on Saturday. Rodriguez is riding a four-fight winning streak but is just 1-0 since moving up to featherweight as he had an issue making weight. Rodriguez is coming off a controversial split decision win over Isaac Dulgarian but enters this fight as the favorite as DraftKings has him at a salary of $8,900. In his four UFC wins, three have come by decision while his lone loss came by decision. If Rodriguez gets the win, he should get a ranked opponent next time out. --Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 months agoJean Silva (13-2) is set to move up to lightweight to take on Drew Dober on short notice at UFC Denver. Silva is coming off a second-round knockout win over Charles Jourdain at UFC 303 which was two weeks ago, and the last UFC card. However, he missed weight in that fight which is why he's moving up to lightweight. Silva enters the fight as a slight underdog as DraftKings has him at a salary of $8,000. In the UFC, Silva is 2-0 with both of his wins by knockout, but this is a major step up in competition. If Silva gets his hand raised at UFC Denver he could get a ranked opponent next.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 months agoDrew Dober (27-13) is set to take on Jean Silva, who took the fight on the main card of UFC Denver on short notice. Dober was supposed to take on Mike Davis, but he pulled out and was replaced by Silva, who is moving up in weight. Dober is coming off a decision loss to Renato Moicano back in February and enters this fight as a slight favorite, as DraftKings has him at a salary of $8,200. In the UFC, Dober is 13-9 with a no-contest, with 10 of his wins coming via stoppage, while he's been finished in five of his losses. If Dober can get past Silva at UFC Denver, a ranked opponent should be next.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

3 months agoRoman Dolidze returned to the win column when he faced Anthony Smith at UFC 303. While it wasn't a highlight-reel victory, it was Dolidze who landed cleaner and more powerful shots. Before this fight, Dolidze was on a two-fight losing streak. In 15 minutes of action, Dolidze landed a takedown and 100 significant strikes. With this win, Dolidze improved his UFC record to 7-3.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

3 months agoMacy Chiasson picked up a second-round TKO win over Mayra Bueno Silva on the main card of UFC 303 on Saturday. After scoring a takedown at the start of the second round, Chiasson landed a devastating elbow, that immediately opened a deep gash above Silva's right eye. Seeing just how deep the cut was, referee Chris Tognoni decided to stop the fight. In 6:58 of action, Chiasson landed a takedown and 50 significant strikes. With the win, Chiasson improved to 10-3 as a pro and 8-3 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

3 months agoMichael Page (22-3) suffered a decision loss to Ian Machado Garry on the main card opener of UFC 303. Page was set for his second UFC fight after beating Kevin Holland in his debut back in March. In the first round, Page was taken down and controlled for nearly four minutes and had to fight off several submission attempts. After losing the first round, Page had a solid second round as he outstruck Garry 31-to-10 to even the fight up. But, Page was outstruck in the third round to lose the round and the fight. Despite the loss, Page proved he still can be a tough out for anyone at welterweight and should get another ranked opponent next.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

The Irishman had a couple of submission attempts in, but Page was able to fight out of it. In the second round, Page started to take over as he outstruck Garry 31-to-18. Entering the third round, with the fight likely tied, Garry had success as he outstruck Page 28-to-14 and had nearly two minutes of control. The Irishman was awarded a decision win and is now 8-0 in the UFC. He should get a top-five opponent next.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

3 months agoMayra Bueno Silva (10-4-1, one no-contest) suffered a second-round stoppage loss to Macy Chiasson on Saturday at UFC 303. Silva was coming off a decision loss to Raquel Pennington for the bantamweight title back in January. The first round was very competitive, as Chiasson out-struck Silva 50 to 47, but the Brazilian did land the better shots and was credited with 42 being significant compared to Chiasson's 37. In the second round, Chiasson got Silva down and landed a massive elbow that opened up a nasty cut on the Brazilian's forehead. The referee stopped the fight, and the doctor said the cut was too deep and the fight was called. With the loss, Silva is now 5-4-1 with a no-contest in the UFC and is on a two-fight losing streak.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

3 months agoDan Ige (18-8) was supposed to fight on July 20, but as UFC 303 had already started, the Hawaiian got a call to step up on hours' notice to face Diego Lopes in the co-main event of the card. Ige replaced Brian Ortega who was pulled from the fight due to an illness on fight day. In the first two rounds, Ige struggled as he was outstruck in the first round and was controlled in the second. But, in the third round, Ige took over as he outstruck Lopes 41-to-16 and landed some big shots. However, it was too little too late as he dropped a decision. With the loss, Ige is now 10-7 in the UFC and is 3-5 in his last eight fights.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

3 months agoDiego Lopes (25-6) scored a unanimous decision win over Dan Ige in the co-main event of UFC 303. Lopes was supposed to fight Brian Ortega but on fight day, Ortega had to pull out due to an injury. On just hours' notice, Dan Ige stepped up to face Lopes at a 165lbs catchweight. In the first round, Lopes had success as he outstruck Ige 23-to-9. Lopes then controlled the second round with his grappling as he had over three minutes of control. But, in the third round, he did slow down, as Lopes was outstruck 41-to-16, but did enough to win the first two rounds to get the decision win. With the victory, Lopes is on a four-fight winning streak and should get a top-five opponent next time out.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
