According to Dennis Lin of The Athletic, the Padres are again showing interest in Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran. The Padres' left field spot has been a revolving door for the Padres thus far in 2025. With recent injury news to Gavin Sheets and the current injury to Jason Heyward, the Padres may want to revisit conversations with the Red Sox about Duran. Duran is an All-Star-caliber outfielder who could help the Padres significantly. No news is concrete as of now, but if the Padres could secure a deal like this, it would dramatically increase their chances of competing for a World Series. For now, look for the Padres to lean on Brandon Lockridge and Tyler Wade in left field for the time being.--Nicho Roessler
