Nick Taylor Aims For Back-To-Back Victories At American Express
Nick Taylor returns to the continental US fresh off a two-hole playoff victory at the Sony Open last week. The 36-year-old Canadian impressively held off a fiery Nico Echavarria to pick up his fifth PGA Tour win, gaining 8.2 strokes from tee-to-green and making clutch putt after clutch putt. He'll seek back-to-back victories at the American Express this week, but he'll need to reverse his fortunes at PGA West in order to do so. In 10 career appearances at this event, Taylor has missed five cuts, including back-to-back missed cuts in his most recent two starts, and he's yet to finish inside of the top-20. However, he certainly has the requisite combination of approach play and Poa putting that has historically been the key to success here. Fantasy managers will have a tough time weighing course history and recent form when evaluating Taylor's ownership this week.
