3 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington will most certainly take a back seat in their Week 18 matchup. Jaylen Waddle (knee) was a full practice participant on Friday and looks more likely than not to play on Sunday. Miami will travel in Week 18 to take on the New York Jets, who rank ninth in total fantasy points allowed to wide receivers this year. That alone diminishes Washington's fantasy value tremendously. Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is also doubtful this week, which means Tyler Huntley would draw the start for the second straight game. With this being a must-win game for Miami, it's safe to assume he won't see a similar snap count he's had with Waddle sidelined. He is best left on the bench for anyone fighting for a fantasy championship.--Jake Walker - RotoBaller

3 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington hauled in four receptions for 41 yards on five targets in Sunday's 20-3 win over the Cleveland Browns. He also lost 11 yards in his only rushing attempt. With fellow receiver Jaylen Waddle (knee) out in Week 17, Washington moved up in the pecking order and made the most of his five targets. Those five targets were second on the team to Tyreek Hill's nine. Washington has been coming on of late, earning four-plus targets in three straight games. The rookie receiver out of Virginia is showing that he belongs in the NFL, and he will look to keep that going next Sunday when the Dolphins travel to New York to take on the Jets. Washington remains a WR4 for Week 18 but is making the most of his opportunities. Washington has shown flashes of what he can do in the NFL, and he is becoming a nice bench stash in dynasty leagues.--Nicho Roessler - RotoBaller

3 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington has seen an increased role with the departure of Odell Beckham Jr. and Jaylen Waddle (knee) being banged up. He produced his best performance in Week 15 with five receptions on six targets for 52 yards. This week, Miami travels to take on the Cleveland Browns, who have struggled to defend wide receivers. However, the weather conditions at kickoff will be less than ideal, with the forecast projecting a 50% chance of rain and 25+ mph wind gusts. With Waddle having a shot to play, Washington should remain on the bench in Week 17.--Jake Walker - RotoBaller

3 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington caught three of four targets for 28 yards in the 29-17, Week 16 win over the San Francisco 49ers. With Jaylen Waddle (knee) sidelined for this game, the rookie could not take advantage of more snaps. The Miami passing attack struggled somewhat and leaned more on the ground game. Waddle could miss more than just this game, making his status something to be monitored throughout this week. Washington will look to bounce back next Sunday when he and Miami hit the road to take on the Cleveland Browns in a game that will possibly be in freezing temperatures.--Jake Walker - RotoBaller

3 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington may have a chance to have a productive performance in Week 16. Jaylen Waddle (knee) is listed as doubtful, and Tyreek Hill (wrist/personal) is questionable. The rookie had his best performance of the season last week with five receptions on six targets for 52 yards against the Houston Texans. The matchup against the San Francisco 49ers defense will be a difficult one. Their defense is ranked second in fantasy points and second in yards allowed per game to opposing wide receivers. Washington has looked great in special teams and has done whatever is asked of him on the field. He should be viewed as an emergency flex option in Week 16.--Jake Walker - RotoBaller
