Malik Monk Carrying A Questionable Tag Ahead Of Tuesday
3 months agoSacramento Kings guard/forward Malik Monk (groin) is considered questionable for Tuesday's tilt against Milwaukee. After sustaining a groin injury, he might be absent for an eighth time this season. Monk recently went on a tear with De'Aaron Fox out of the lineup, and he has had a strong campaign overall. Since moving to the starting unit in December, Monk has notched 18.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.1 steals. Keon Ellis and Kevin Huerter should share Monk's minutes if he can't play on Tuesday. Ellis is the better fantasy target, as Huerter has struggled this campaign with the Kings.

Malik Monk Iffy For Thursday's Game
1 week agoSacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (illness) is listed as questionable for Thursday's contest against the Portland Trail Blazers. He has missed three games due to an illness, and it's uncertain whether Monk will be able to return on Thursday. Keon Ellis has delivered impressive performances as Monk's replacement in the starting lineup, averaging 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.0 steals. He will remain an intriguing fantasy option on Thursday if Monk is not feeling well enough to play.

Malik Monk Won't Play Tuesday
1 week agoSacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (illness) has been ruled out ahead of Tuesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Monk is set to miss his third game in a row due to a lingering illness. Before that, Monk was playing big minutes in the rotation with 32 minutes or more in his previous five games. His absence should mean Keon Ellis and Devin Carter see increased roles in the rotation. Neither are great streaming choices, but Ellis is the better option between the two for Tuesday's slate.

Malik Monk Iffy To Play Against Celtics
2 weeks agoSacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (illness) may only need to miss one game for an illness after receiving a questionable status for Monday's game against the Boston Celtics. The 27-year-old has gone from sixth man to an everyday starter this season and has seen sizeable jumps in production with similar efficiency. This year, he's averaging 18.1 points, 5.9 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 2.2 threes per game. So, if he plays, he's a must-start in most fantasy formats. On the other hand, Keon Ellis would be a solid streaming option if Monk can't play. Against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, Ellis dropped 20 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.

Malik Monk Unavailable On Saturday
2 weeks agoSacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (illness) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Monk was a late addition to the injury report and will now sit out due to an illness. The absence of Monk should mean increased roles for Devin Carter and Keon Ellis on Saturday. Ellis has the higher ceiling between the two players, but also posted zero points across 17 points during his last game. Fantasy managers should be able to find a better streaming choice ahead of Saturday's slate.
