Logan Thompson Leads The Way In Overtime Victory
Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced en route to defeating the Vancouver Canucks in overtime on Wednesday evening. The Capitals got out to a one-goal lead, but the Canucks would tie the game in the second period on the power-play on a snap shot by Connor Garland. Thompson would then turn aside the other seven shots he faced in the game, which set up Pierre-Luc Dubois' eventual game-winner in overtime. This was a nice bounce-back for Thompson, as he allowed four goals in his previous start. Over his last five outings, the 27-year-old has gone 5-0 with a .942% SV and a 1.78 GAA. Fantasy managers should continue to expect Thompson to share the crease with Charlie Lindgren.
