5 years agoHouston Astros pitcher Josh James will be the team's opener on Monday against the Angels, with Framber Valdez expected to log the bulk of the innings after him. James is 4-0 on the year with a 4.91 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 76 strikeouts in 47 2/3 innings over his 35 relief appearances. He won't hold any fantasy appeal in the opener role against the Halos and isn't on the fantasy radar as a reliever. Valdez had a couple less-than-stellar outings before the All-Star break but will be back on the radar in deeper leagues as a streaming candidate now that he's back in the rotation.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
