Colorado Avalanche winger Jonathan Drouin (upper body) will not play in Wednesday's contest against Chicago. Drouin is dealing with a lingering upper-body injury and will come out of the lineup just four games after returning from a five-week absence. Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar hopes to have Drouin available again on Thursday versus Minnesota. Health issues have limited Drouin to only nine appearances in 2024-25. He's played well when in the lineup, producing three goals and five assists. With Drouin sidelined on Wednesday, Artturi Lehkonen might return to top-line duty, while Ross Colton is another potential option.--Taavi Pailk
