The New York Jets requested an interview with Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant general manager Mike Greenberg for their general manager position, according to sources. Greenberg grew up a Jets fan on Long Island, so he has close ties to the organization. After firing both GM Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh in the middle of their disappointing 5-12 season, the Jets are searching for candidates at both positions to start the offseason as they likely look to move on from future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers going into 2025. Greenberg specializes in the salary cap and has helped Tampa win four straight NFC South titles while making five straight playoff appearances. He interviewed for the Carolina Panthers GM opening last year before returning to Tampa, where he's been for 15 seasons.--Keith Hernandez
