Jazz Chisholm Jr. Getting A Day Off Monday
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. is not in the team's starting lineup on Monday with the team facing left-hander Framber Valdez and the visiting Houston Astros. With Chisholm getting a day off, Bryan De La Cruz will make the start in center field while batting leadoff against Valdez. The oft-injured Chisholm should be rostered in all fantasy leagues for his power/speed combination, but he's been a frustrating fantasy asset because of all the missed time he's had due to injuries early in his career. The 25-year-old is currently batting .246/.303/.448 with 11 home runs, 25 RBI, 15 stolen bases and 27 runs scored in 203 at-bats. Since returning from the injured list on July 31, Chisholm has gone 9-for-36 (.250) with two homers, two doubles, four RBI, a steal and seven runs scored in 11 games (nine starts).
