Jaguars Request To Interview Todd Monken For Head-Coaching Gig
20 hours agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars requested an interview with Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken for their head-coach opening. It's no surprise that Monken has been a popular head-coaching candidate this cycle after getting the most out of star quarterback Lamar Jackson the last two seasons he's been running the offense. Jacksonville is looking for a new head coach for the third time in the last five seasons after firing Doug Pederson on Monday. In addition to the Jaguars, the 58-year-old Monken is a candidate for the Chicago Bears' head-coach job. Under Monken in 2024, the Ravens offense finished first in total offense, first in rushing offense, seventh in passing offense and third in scoring offense. Their 7,224 yards of total offense was third-most in NFL history. In potentially hiring Monken, the Jaguars would be hoping he could turn quarterback Trevor Lawrence's career around.
