The Jacksonville Jaguars requested an interview with Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson for their head-coaching gig. Johnson is among a list of eight known candidates for Jacksonville as they look to replace Doug Pederson, who was fired on Monday. Johnson is the No. 1 head-coaching candidate across the NFL this cycle, so he'll essentially have his pick of all the head-coach openings across the league. However, the fact that the Jaguars are retaining general manager Trent Baalke is likely to mean that Johnson won't be interested in the team's head-coaching job. Johnson reportedly has no interest in taking the Jaguars job unless there is a new GM, so there's a good chance he won't even respond to Jacksonville's request to interview for the head-coaching position.--Keith Hernandez
