George Kittle Leads 49ers In Receiving
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle had a solid effort in his return to action in Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals. Kittle caught four of his five targets for 92 yards this week. He led the team in targets and no other 49er had more than 30 receiving yards in the game. It likely would have been a bigger game for him if the team had needed to throw more. Quarterback C.J. Beathard only attempted 22 passes as the team ran for 227 yards in the game. Kittle had been sidelined since Week 8 after breaking a bone in his foot. It was encouraging to see him turn in such a strong performance given the length and nature of the injury. For anyone playing into Week 17, make sure he is rostered as a must-start TE1.
