Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) has been activated from Injured Reserve ahead of Friday's contest against Carolina. The 26-year-old appears ready to rejoin the lineup following a six-game absence. Pettersson should assume a top-six role, potentially bumping Pius Suter down to the third line. Vancouver hasn't quite received what it's used to from Pettersson this season, who has notched 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 34 games. However, he produced four multi-point efforts last month, proving he can still go off offensively.--Taavi Pailk
