Edouard Julien Hitting Leadoff Against Yankees
2 years agoMinnesota Twins rookie second baseman Edouard Julien is getting the nod in the leadoff spot for the Twins on Sunday against the New York Yankees and right-hander Gerrit Cole. Julien also hit leadoff for Minnesota on Saturday and appears to be settling into the top spot in the lineup against right-handed pitchers despite getting just two hits in his first 14 major-league at-bats with a solo home run, one walk and three strikeouts in his first four games. Outfielder Byron Buxton remains at designated hitter and is batting third in the lineup against New York's ace. The leadoff spot gives the 23-year-old Julien more DFS upside, but he's hard to recommend on Sunday against one of the most dominant strikeout pitchers in the game.
