Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy (upper body) will miss a third consecutive game on Monday against San Jose. He continues to nurse an upper-body injury, and it's unclear when Boston will get him back. Nikita Zadorov and Brandon Carlo have made up the first defensive pairing during McAvoy's absence, with Mason Lohrei hopping on the top power-play unit. Lohrei has posted three assists with the man advantage over the past three games. He has a good chance to stay hot on Monday against San Jose's 79 percent penalty kill.--Taavi Pailk
