Byron Buxton Continues To Improve
5 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (shoulder) played catch on the field on Monday and has been hitting soft toss and doing tee work since a left shoulder subluxation has kept him out since Aug. 3. Manager Rocco Baldelli said Buxton will next test his swing and movement in game-like situations, with a rehab assignment a possibility. He should resume starting center field duties for the Twins when he's ready. Buxton's combination of power and speed make him valuable in all leagues. The 25-year-old is batting .262/.314/.513 on the season with 10 home runs, 48 runs, 46 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 82 games.
