3 months agoWashington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. has struggled to generate much on the ground over the past month and has another tough matchup ahead of him on Sunday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Over his past four games, Robinson has only tallied double-digit PPR points once and averaged a mere 39.8 rushing yards per game. During this span, he did not score a touchdown and saw just 2.3 targets per game. However, prior to this stretch, the Alabama product averaged a strong 13.4 PPR points per game and scored eight touchdowns in ten games. Given his lack of recent production and the return of Austin Ekeler, Robinson Jr. is a touchdown-dependent RB2 in DFS that does not carry much upside facing a Tampa Bay defense that has allowed the tenth-fewest PPR points to opposing RBs this season.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 months agoWashington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. is coming off a strong showing in the divisional round and carries RB2 upside facing the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC title game. Last weekend, facing a tough Detroit rushing defense, Robinson ran for 77 yards and two scores on 15 attempts. This was a nice showing for Robinson, as he averaged an underwhelming 35.0 rushing yards per game over his previous five contests. However, during his first 10 games of the season, the Alabama product found the back of the end zone eight times and averaged a strong 64 rushing yards per game. Despite another tough matchup, as the Eagles have allowed the second-fewest PPR points to opposing running backs, Robinson carries high-floor RB2 value this weekend.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 months agoWashington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. found the back of the end zone twice during their upset victory over the Detroit Lions on Saturday evening. Robinson punched in two scores at the goal line, one in the second quarter and the other in the fourth. Robinson finished the evening with 77 yards on 15 attempts. His 15 attempts were the second-most on the team, only behind Jayden Daniels. He was not targeted in the passing game. After averaging an underwhelming 35.0 rushing yards per game over his previous five games, the Alabama product found his footing at the perfect time. During the first ten games of his season, he averaged a strong 64.0 rushing yards per game. Robinson carries RB2 upside heading into the NFC Championship.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 months agoWashington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. is a touchdown-dependent flex option in the divisional round when he faces the Detroit Lions. Robinson had a disappointing conclusion to the season, and those struggles lingered during their wild-card victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In this game, Robinson tallied just 16 yards on ten carries. Over the final three weeks of the regular season, Robinson tallied just 31.3 rushing yards per game and did not score a touchdown. However, during his first ten games of the season, Robinson scored eight touchdowns and averaged a solid 64 yards per game. Facing another tough rushing defense in Detroit, who has allowed the third-fewest PPR points to opposing running backs, makes him a touchdown-dependent flex option that is best to avoid in DFS in competitions.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

3 months agoWashington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. tallied just 16 yards on 10 attempts during their victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Robinson was deployed as the top option in the backfield but could not get any rhythm going in the running game. He performed better as a receiver, bringing in four of his five targets for 22 yards. Later in the game, the Commanders opted to give Austin Ekeler starting opportunities, which could suggest that Robinson may have a smaller workload in next weekend's game against the Detroit Lions. During Weeks 16 through 18, the Alabama product also struggled, averaging an underwhelming 31.3 yards per game. DFS players should opt to fade Robinson next weekend, as he will face a Detroit defense that has allowed the third-fewest PPR points per game to opposing RBs.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
