Brad Peacock A Candidate For Rotation Spot
6 years agoHouston Astros relief pitcher Brad Peacock is a candidate for one of the team's final two rotation spots this year behind Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole and Collin McHugh. Peacock wasn't useful to fantasy owners in a relief role in 2018 for Houston, but he went 13-2 with a solid 3.00 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 11.0 K/9 in 34 games (21 starts) in 2017. Youngsters Josh James and Framber Valdez are also candidates for the last two rotation spots, so nothing is set in stone yet, but Peacock could be an excellent sleeper target late in mixed league drafts if he winds up with a spot. We probably won't have a better idea until spring training gets underway.
