Bilal Coulibaly Unavailable Thursday
4 weeks agoWashington Wizards guard/forward Bilal Coulibaly (hip) will miss a second consecutive game on Thursday against the Detroit Pistons. He hasn't recovered from a hip contusion Coulibaly suffered on Monday against the Toronto Raptors. Justin Champagnie may receive another start in Coulibaly's place, with Corey Kispert contributing more off the bench. Champagnie struggled to make a mark in Tuesday's matchup against the Pistons, but he has generally done well in a starting role. Over 16 starts this season, Champagnie has averaged 11.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.4 steals.

Bilal Coulibaly Unavailable Versus Pistons
4 weeks agoWashington Wizards guard Bilal Coulibaly (hip) will be out of action versus the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. Coulibaly suffered a right hip contusion and exited Monday's contest with the Raptors after a fall during a dunk attempt in the first quarter. The Wizards ruled him out for the rest of the evening due to tightness in his right hamstring. However, the team's official injury report now lists the 20-year-old as unavailable because of the right hip contusion. Justin Champagnie and Corey Kispert should expect an uptick in minutes with Coulibaly out. Neither player is a great streaming option, but Kispert is the more consistent option between the two players.

Bilal Coulibaly Unable To Return On Monday
4 weeks agoWashington Wizards guard Bilal Coulibaly (hamstring) has been ruled out for the rest of Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors. Coulibaly fell on a dunk attempt and landed awkwardly which resulted in him exiting the game due to hamstring tightness. He only played eight minutes, finishing with four points, two rebounds, and one assist on Monday. Justin Champagnie and Corey Kispert figure to see more playing time if Coulibaly is forced to miss more time. Neither player is an ideal streaming option, but Kispert is the more consistent choice between the two if Coulibaly misses more time

Bilal Coulibaly Could Be Ready To Return Against Houston
3 months agoWashington Wizards forward Bilal Coulibaly has had a strong second season in the NBA, and he could be ready to return to action after missing the last two games for the Wizards with an illness. He was listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Rockets along with several other key parts of the Wizards rotation like Jordan Poole (hip) and Bub Carrington (ankle). The 20-year-old has started 29 games for the Wizards this season, averaging 12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals in 33.8 minutes per game. If Coulibaly is sidelined again on Tuesday, Justin Champagnie would be the primary beneficiary, since he would likely continue to start alongside Kyle Kuzma while Corey Kispert and Kyshawn George could also potentially get more work in the second unit.
