3 months agoWashington Commanders tight end Ben Sinnott (shoulder) opened the week as a limited participant during Tuesday's practice. This comes after Sinnott was forced to exit early during Sunday's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That being said, it's not shocking to see Sinnott only get through a limited session to begin the week. The 22-year-old finished his rookie season with five receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown in 17 games (two starts) with the Commanders. He's unlikely to have much of an impact on the field or for fantasy purposes with Zach Ertz healthy right now.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

2 months agoWashington Commanders tight ends John Bates (shoulder) and Ben Sinnott (shoulder) were both listed as limited participants in Thursday's practice after they were both full-go in the first practice of the week on Wednesday. It's possible that both are merely being rested ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles, but there statuses will become more clear on Friday. Meanwhile, fellow TE Zach Ertz (rib, rest) returned to a full practice on Thursday after picking up a DNP on Wednesday. As long as Ertz is healthy and on the field, neither Bates nor Sinnott are worth considering in fantasy playoff leagues. Bates had only eight catches on 13 targets for 84 yards and no touchdowns in 17 regular-season games, while Sinnott had five grabs for 28 yards and one score in 17 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoWashington Commanders tight end Ben Sinnott (shoulder) logged a limited practice session for the second consecutive day in preparation for his team's meeting with the Detroit Lions this Saturday. The rookie was used sparingly in his debut campaign -- hauling in all five of his targets despite appearing in all 17 contests. Ironically, Sinnott played more snaps earlier on in the season than he'd rack up over its last three outings -- logging double-digit snap percentages twice as opposed to the 12 times he did so over the first 13 weeks. This role remained the same in the Wild Card round, as he registered just seven of a possible 73 snaps while fellow TEs John Bates (38) and Zach Ertz (46) handily out-snapped him. With the Commanders lining up on Saturday, the 22-year-old will have one more shot to enhance his practice participation before his team must designate a status for the Divisional Round. If he can't go, Bates and Ertz would garner a higher workload.--Alex Ciulla

3 months agoAccording to the team, Washington Commanders rookie tight end Ben Sinnott (shoulder) was cleared to return to Sunday's wild-card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sinnott sustained this shoulder injury during the first half of the game. The 22-year-old did not see a target in the passing game before exiting. Fantasy managers should expect Zach Ertz and John Bates to continue to operate as the top tight ends for the remainder of the game.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

3 months agoAccording to the team, Washington Commanders rookie tight end Ben Sinnott (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's wild-card game. Sinnott sustained this injury during the first half and did not see a target before exiting. While sidelined, fantasy managers should continue to expect Zach Ertz and John Bates to see the majority of the snaps at the tight end position. In the first half, Ertz caught his lone target for nine yards. Update: Sinnott has been cleared to return--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
