Alec Bohm: Another good, but not great season on horizon
2 days agoAn excellent first half in 2024 that saw Alec Bohm slash .295/.348/.482 with 33 doubles, 11 home runs, and 70 RBI led to his first All-Star appearance. The second half was a different story, though, with Bohm producing a .681 OPS in 49 games and missing time with a hand injury. However, he was benched in the postseason, which called his Phillies future into question, but Bohm will remain in Philadelphia after all. Steamer projects Bohm to bat .276, producing a .330 wOBA and 111 wRC+, 16 home runs, and 70 RBI in 143 games, with an NFC ADP of 176.01. In other words, he will once again fail to take that step forward offensively, which is what the Phillies have been hoping for since his 2020 debut. With Bohm entering his age-28 season, that progress may never come.
