Aaron Rodgers Has Uncertain Future With New Head Coach
20 seconds agoAccording to Rich Cimini of ESPN, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has an uncertain future with the team with new head coach Aaron Glenn. Cimini reported that, unlike the previous Jets coaching staff with Nathaniel Hackett, Rodgers has no direct ties with Glenn. Entering his age-41 season could encourage the Jets to look elsewhere as they attempt to rebuild their roster. Cimini noted that given his age, it would be "loathsome" for an older player to learn a new scheme and would be out of his "comfort zone." However, given the current state of the quarterback market, it may be challenging to find someone as skilled as Rodgers. Despite coming off a torn Achilles, Rodgers started all 18 games for the Jets and averaged 229.2 passing yards per game with a 28:11 TD:INT ratio. Over the final five games, Rodgers began to turn the corner as he averaged 254 passing yards per game. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor this situation during the offseason as it will impact the outlook of the entire offense.
