It's been a rough start to the season for Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. Through five weeks he has averaged 246.8 passing yards per game, has just one 300-yard passing game and has thrown just six touchdowns to go with his seven interceptions. Father time is undefeated, and he looks to be taking down Manning this year.
For fantasy football managers that have stuck with Manning to this point, Week 6 looked like an opportunity for a breakout game when the Broncos face the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland has been a surprisingly good team, but they've allowed huge games to Joe Flacco, Philip Rivers and Derek Carr over the last three weeks. Now Mother Nature is taking her shot at Manning. Weather reports out of Cleveland are calling for a steady wind of 15 MPH with gusts over 20 MPH and a slight chance of showers before and during the game.
With the Broncos passing game struggling, head coach Gary Kubiak will look to play ball control and rely on their tremendous defense to put them in position to score. Knowing Manning and his control over the offense, he'll still look to make plays with his arm. However, if he attempts to throw long in the face of a 20 MPH wind gust, those interception numbers will rise even more.
