OwnersBox Quarterbacks

One-Week Drafts:

Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) vs. DEN

Mahomes will take on a Denver team that he was quiet against back in Week 7, throwing for just 200 yards and a touchdown. The running game, defense, and special teams took care of things for him, providing four combined touchdowns, which left Mahomes to attempt just 23 passes in the blowout win. Of course, the Chiefs have mostly abandoned the run since then, with Mahomes averaging 45.3 pass attempts per game. Look for a big performance out of Mahomes this weekend.

Also consider: Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) vs. PHI

Two-to-Four-Week Drafts:

Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) vs. PHI, @DET, vs. CAR, vs. TEN

Rodgers gets an absolutely fantastic schedule as the fantasy season winds down. This week, he will take on a Philadelphia team that is putting the finishing touches on an extremely disappointing season. The Eagles pass defense ranks just 20th in DVOA on the year and stands little chance to slow down Rodgers. Week 14 brings a divisional matchup on the road against the Lions. Detroit's defense has been terrible this season, ranking 28th in pass DVOA.

After that, Green Bay will take on a Panthers Defense that has been getting worse as the season goes on. Carolina has allowed 10 passing touchdowns over the past four games, and that's with Matthew Stafford's zero touchdown performance in Week 11 factored in. Rodgers wraps up this stretch with an excellent Week 16 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee's defense is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks on the year.

Also consider: Ryan Tannehill (Tennessee Titans) vs. CLE, @JAX, vs. DET, @GB

OwnersBox Running Backs

One-Week Drafts:

Dalvin Cook (Minnesota Vikings) vs. JAX

Cook appears to be fine after suffering what is being termed a minor ankle injury in Week 12. Be sure to monitor practice reports but if Cook plays, this is an absolute smash spot for him at home against a weak Jacksonville offense. Look for the Vikings to lean heavily on the running game in a contest that could be over by halftime. The Jaguars are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to running backs on the year.

Also consider: Nick Chubb (Cleveland Browns) @TEN

Two-to-Four-Week Drafts:

Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans) vs. CLE, @JAX, vs. DET, @GB

Henry came through big-time in Week 12, rumbling for three touchdowns against a depleted Colts Defense. That was supposed to be his "tough" matchup over the final portion of the season. He will take on the Browns at home in Week 13 in a game that should feature plenty of handoffs. Cleveland's run defense has been decent at limiting running back scoring in fantasy but they do rank just 20th in run-defense DVOA. After that, Henry travels to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars. As mentioned above, this is a matchup to target with running backs in fantasy. The Jags rank just 26th in the league in run-defense DVOA.

The Lions are Henry's Week 15 opponent in yet another cake matchup. Detroit is allowing the most fantasy points per game to running backs. Henry then wraps up this stretch with a road game in Green Bay. With this setting up as a late-December contest, look for Tennessee to lean heavily on Henry against Green Bay's weak run defense. The Packers are No. 2 in the league in fantasy points per game allowed to running backs, behind only the Lions.

Also consider: Austin Ekeler (Los Angeles Chargers) vs. NE, vs. ATL, @LV, vs. DEN

OwnersBox Wide Receivers

One-Week Drafts:

Davante Adams (Green Bay Packers) vs. PHI

Adams continues to shine and is the most matchup-proof wideout in the game. He will take on an Eagles Defense that was just shredded by D.K. Metcalf in Week 12. Adams has scored a touchdown in each of the last six games (he has nine scores total over that stretch) and shouldn't have much trouble against a Philly defense that is much better against the run than they are vs. the pass.

Also consider: A.J. Brown (Tennessee Titans) vs. CLE

Two-to-Four-Week Drafts:

Davante Adams (Green Bay Packers) vs. PHI, @DET, vs. CAR, vs. TEN

After showing up above as my top WR play in Week 13, Adams back as the preferred play in long-term drafts. See above for highlights on his Week 13 matchup against the Eagles. In Week 14, Adams will take on the Lions in Detroit. The Lions rank 28th in pass-defense DVOA and the fact that this game is inside in a dome is an added bonus for Adams.

Week 15 brings a home matchup against Carolina. The Panthers started out strong against wide receivers this year but have shown some cracks of late, having allowed a wide receiver touchdown in three of the past four games. Green Bay wraps up this plus stretch with a home game against the Titans. Weather permitting, Tennessee has a strong enough offense to turn this game into a high-scoring affair. That would benefit Adams as they are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to WRs on the year.

Also consider: Allen Robinson (Chicago Bears) vs. DET, vs. HOU, @MIN, @JAX

OwnersBox Tight Ends

One-Week Drafts:

Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs) vs. DEN

The Broncos are tough on tight ends but that doesn't really matter for Kelce. Despite playing one of the tougher slates of defenses when it comes to defending tight ends this season, Kelce is still the overall TE1 on the year. He was quiet against the Broncos back in Week 7, catching just three balls for 31 yards, but that was a strange game that saw the Chiefs get a defensive touchdown and another score on a kick return. Look for better numbers in the passing game this weekend.

Also consider: T.J. Hockenson (Detroit Lions) @CHI

Two-to-Four-Week Drafts:

Darren Waller (Las Vegas Raiders) @NYJ, vs. IND, vs. LAC, vs. MIA

Waller was a let down in what looked like a smash spot against the Falcons in Week 12. Brush off that slow performance and continue to draft the de facto No. 1 WR in Las Vegas. He has a promising matchup against the Jets this weekend. New York is 10th in average fantasy points allowed to the position this season. The Raiders will then take on the Colts, who are allowing the third-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends. This is not a promising matchup, although Indy is quite banged up on defense, which bodes well for Waller.

Waller will then take on the Chargers in Week 15. Los Angeles held him to 22 receiving yards on five grabs back in Week 9 but Waller did manage to find the end zone. Overall, the Chargers are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends on the year. The Raiders finish up this stretch of the schedule against the Dolphins in Week 16. Miami's defense has been solid this season but they have allowed three touchdowns to tight ends over the past four games.

Also consider: Noah Fant (Denver Broncos) @KC, @CAR, vs. BUF, @LAC
