Many fantasy analysts haven't been shy about admitting that this class of rookies doesn't particularly excite them. I'm no different -- it's hard for me to see the majority of these players actually being important in the long run in dynasty fantasy football leagues.

Of course, only a handful of players ever end up being long-term steals in the later rounds in each draft class. But this one is particularly disappointing. That said, there are a few players who might be flying a bit under the radar.

You should try to look at the upside case for each player, even if it's just short-term, because guys who went lower in the NFL Draft and succeeded likely due to a good situation still end up rising quite a bit in value, and can at least be traded for other assets if you don't have confidence in their long-term value. With that in mind, let's dive into three sleepers for 2026 dynasty fantasy football rookie drafts!

Nicholas Singleton, RB, Tennessee Titans

Singleton was once viewed as the potential top running back prospect of his class. That was no longer the case after two somewhat disappointing seasons following a freshman year that seemed to show wild potential. We got to see more of Singleton, and it wasn't always great.

He'll probably be highly dependent on his situation to succeed, and it might not be a great offense to start with. That said, there's an interesting bull case for him. He's big, strong, has good contact balance, and is highly athletic, and he'll be in an offense commanded by veteran NFL offensive coach Brian Daboll.

Singleton lacks vision and the ability to process defenses in front of him, though. He often runs himself into contact, even though he does have decent lateral agility, presumably from just not seeing creases and holes he can exploit. It can be frustrating to watch him on tape.

The backfield competition in Tennessee isn't exactly fierce, though. It looks like RB Tony Pollard might still have some juice, and he's also a great athlete, but he seems to be on the decline. He dealt with a ton of injury issues over the past few seasons, even though he didn't miss a ton of time. Pollard is 29 years old now, too.

Singleton could be an interesting target on swing and screen passes thanks to his combination of size and athleticism. Of course, he'll likely need the offensive line and offensive scheming to do some heavy lifting for him, as he is mostly a one-cut back who doesn't make a lot of defenders miss in the open field.

Still, the most important thing a running back can have is elite athleticism, whether it be a combination of size and explosiveness or high-end lateral agility. Singleton has the former, and he may get more than one crack at the RB1 job for the Titans. If the offense overall can improve, he could be a quality starter for a few seasons, and better if he ends up on a better offense in the future.

Brenen Thompson, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Thompson was heavily coveted by revered NFL offensive mind Mike McDaniel, who was hired as the offensive coordinator for the Chargers after the Miami Dolphins fired him this offseason. McDaniel engineered some of the most explosive offenses in the NFL for multiple seasons in a row as the head coach.

Now, he has a fantastic roster to work with. Quarterback Justin Herbert is one of the NFL's best throwers of the football when he's not getting decimated by five billion sacks behind an offensive line that has most of its starters injured. Fingers crossed -- they're healthier now, and we hope it stays that way.

Thompson has blazing speed. That might mean he ends up running a lot of clearout routes, and there will be a lot of target competition for him. But as long as McDaniel is with the Chargers, we could see Thompson make big plays downfield. McDaniel did a great job attacking deep areas of the field in Miami.

Herbert has a rocket launcher for an arm, and with a better offensive line, he should have time in the pocket to set up the deep shots and get them off without being hit. That could lead to multiple long touchdowns for Thompson, which would give him enough value to make him a nice trade asset ahead of the future season.

Long-term value might be hard to come by for him. He was a bit buried in a draft class that didn't have much receiver talent out of the Big Three of Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, and Makai Lemon, so it might be best to bail when McDaniel inevitably gets another head-coaching job.

Malachi Fields, WR, New York Giants

Fields has a solid chance of stepping into the WR2 role for a team that has a promising young quarterback and a pass-catching room mostly devoid of talent outside of WR Malik Nabers (knee). Nabers tore his ACL last season and had multiple surgeries to correct the issue.

The latest rumors suggest that Nabers won't be ready for the start of the 2026 season and could be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list. We probably won't see him back to 100 percent until 2027, and back to 90 or so percent until late in the season. Fields could have a few nice games right away.

He doesn't have to be that great to do so. According to my analysis, he's not a great separator and might have to rely on his physicality and size to consistently make catches at the next level. But quarterback Jaxson Dart is the engine this offense runs on, and as long as he has a receiver who can catch the football, he can help that player put up big fantasy points.

Dart helped WR Wan'Dale Robinson have his best season as a pro, including a few big fantasy games. That earned him a solid contract with a new team. The Giants' WR1 was unfortunately injured early in the season, but tight end Theo Johnson had a ton of opportunities for big games thanks to Dart. He just had butterfingers.

This WR class was quite thin -- it's pointless to lie about that. For the receivers who weren't evaluated as high-end talents, it's probably more important to look at the situation to find value. A mediocre receiver on a bad offense is unlikely to ever be relevant in fantasy football for decent stretches of even one season.

But a mediocre receiver on an offense with a quarterback who's willing to throw the ball down the field, can extend plays with his legs and create more opportunities, and is a threat in the run game proves intriguing. Dart's ability to scramble forces defenses to stop dropping so many players back in coverage, which helps open up the passing game.

Fields is in a situation where if he's not just terrible, he could provide value at his ADP in fantasy football. The hype around him is building, though, which is unfortunate for value-seeking dynasty managers.
