Week 6 Tight End Rankings Analysis

Gronk finally delivered a big game, and there's no reason for me to doubt him going forward. I feel like Julius Thomas has to have a game without a touchdown at some point, but it seems unlikely against the Jets. He's currently on a record pace which will be fun to watch. Larry Donnell laid an egg last week but I still like him a lot overall. It's clear that Eli won't throw to him if he's covered, but he is still their best goal line threat.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. Antonio Gates has been so up and down this year. If you own him I think you start him and just accept that it's going to be either really good or really bad. I'm still waiting for that Jordan Cameron breakout game, but getting a little worried. I think Vernon Davis plays this week but it is a Monday night game. If we don't get clarity by Sunday, you'll have to bench him.

Dwayne Allen has delivered a touchdown in 4 out of 5 games this year. That's not going to continue every week, but I think he can definitely get to ten on the season and has a nice ceiling that most tight ends don't have. If Jordan Reed doesn't return this week I still like Niles Paul a lot - he didn't have a bad game until facing Seattle. Between Jace Amaro and Austin Seferian-Jenkins, I'm expecting one of them to have a strong breakthrough game soon. It could be Amaro against the Broncos this week.

Good luck in Week 6 RotoBallers!
