Worth the Investment
Pau Gasol (CHI, PF) - $9,700
Incredibly, Gasol has recorded a double-double in 17 of his last 18 games and 22 of 26 since the calendar struck 2015. A fast paced game against the Minnesota Timberwolves should allow Gasol’s ridiculous streak to continue. Pay the man.
John Wall (WAS, PG) - $9,100
Talk about a team on the downslide. The Wizards have been atrocious over their last 16 games and Wall himself has not hit 30 FanDuel points in three games. The Sixers are just what the doctor ordered. Philadelphia has consistently given up a boatload of points to opposing point guards and Wall is just way too talented to sustain his slump against the lowly Sixers.
Greg Monroe (DET, PF) - $7,600
No doubt that Monroe is a hit-or-miss liability, but the matchup against the Knicks is about as juicy as it gets as New York has seemingly been everybody’s whipping boy this season. Only worry is the potential for the blowout.
Brook Lopez (BKN, C) - $6,900
Despite coming off the bench, Lopez has consistently out-produced and played nearly double the minutes than starter Mason Plumlee over the last three games. There is no reason that streak should not continue against a Rockets team that has struggled big time to defend big men since Dwight Howard has sat out due to injury.
Khris Middleton (MIL, SF) - $6,600
Middleton has been a favorite of Rotoballer DFS plays as of late. Milwaukee head coach Jason Kidd has also seemingly been on-board the Middleton train as the third-year veteran has seen playing time in the high 30 minutes consistently over the last month. He should see a lot of usage while on the floor against a Lakers team that struggles with defending wily swingmen.
Top Sleepers
Aaron Brooks (CHI, PG) - $4,500
Minnesota’s pace and style of play is the type of game that plays into Brooks’ strengths and allow him to maximize his production. In his first start for injury-plagued Derrick Rose earlier this week, Brooks dropped 24 FanDuel points and really had plenty of scoring chances that were not converted, mainly at the charity stripe. Brooks should see a higher FanDuel point output Friday night.
Elijah Millsap (UTA, SG) - $4,000
For most of the season, Millsap’s claim to fame was that his brother was dominating in Atlanta. However over his last six games, Elijah has averaged 22.2 FDPPG in over 30+ minutes per game. Utah’s Millsap can probably only max-out at approximately 28 FanDuel points, but Denver is the team that can give up those points to opposing two guards. The Nuggets have allowed the fourth-most FDPPG to opposing shooting guards over the last five games.
