BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 8% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi is quickly becoming a very good deep sleeper. Eovaldi is only owned in eight percent of fantasy baseball leagues and he shut down the Nationals in his last outing, allowing just one hit in six scoreless innings with nine strikeouts. He has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive appearances.
After a good outing against the Nationals, Eovaldi will now face the Marlins and Mets this week. While run prevention has been an issue for Eovaldi this year (he has allowed three earned runs, or more, in four of the past five games), both the Marlins and Mets are in the bottom five in regards to run producing offenses. The Mets are 26th (312 runs in 79 games) and the Marlins are 28th (304 runs in 83 games).
If you are in a deeper league and are looking for a player to break out, Eovaldi may be your guy. The hard throwing righty should be owned in all deep leagues and on a watch list in more shallow leagues as well.
