NASCAR Truck Series: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Kansas e.p.t 200 (7/25/20)

Justin Carter's DraftKings DFS lineup picks for the NASCAR Gander Outdoor & RV Truck Series e.p.t 200 at Kansas Speedway. Read his daily fantasy NASCAR advice and Truck sleepers.

On Friday, the NASCAR Truck Series visited Kansas, with Austin Hill leading 65 laps on his way to win. And on Saturday, the NASCAR Truck Series will visit...Kansas, again. It's another double-header weekend!

Friday's race went pretty well for our readers, except for Christian Eckes finishing 13th, which probably cost a few of us (including me!) some money. But hey, the other five drivers from yesterday's article all placed in the top 10!

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Truck Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Truck Series DFS lineup picks for the Vankor 250 on DraftKings. (And if any other DFS providers want to start doing Trucks, we'll do those too!) Be sure to also check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for Truck Series including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station.

Austin Hill #16 ($10,700)

Starting 15th

This is probably too chalk, but we're going with it anyway. Hill was dominant on Friday, driving this Hattori truck to his first win of 2020 and leading 65 of the 134 laps in the process.

Now, we get Austin Hill -- whose 2020 resume is eight top 10s and one blown engine -- starting outside of the top 10 for the first time since Daytona.

I'm not saying this race is about to produce some kind of "Kyle Busch racing in the Truck Series" type of DFS line for Hill, but I will say he has the highest upside in this field. If he's running like he did Friday, no one is scoring more fantasy points than this 16 truck.

Brett Moffitt #23 ($10,200)

Starting 14th

Although, Brett Moffitt could challenge Hill for that title of "most fantasy points," as he rolls off just one spot ahead of Hill on the grid.

The second-place finisher on Friday, Moffitt led 21 laps of that race. He's led laps in three consecutive races after only leading once (for two laps) in the first six races of the season.

This GMS Racing truck has definitely not been as strong this year as it has in the past, and I don't expect Moffitt to finish second again on Saturday. But I do think he can easily jump into the top 10 and challenge for a top five, and with a 14th-place starting spot, I'm hammering Moffitt all day in DFS.

Tyler Ankrum #26 ($8,300)

Starting 33rd

I really felt like consistency and safety were the name of the game in DFS on Friday, and I was one bad run away by one driver from being right. But there's too much upside deep in the field this week for me to grab a lot of guys starting in the top 10.

Case in point: Tyler Ankrum starts 33rd. After top 10s in three of the four races before Kansas, Ankrum had brake issues that forced him into the garage on Friday.

But now, he's got a fast truck with top-10 upside that's buried in 33rd place on the starting grid. This could be a huge, huge fantasy day for this team.

Derek Kraus #19 ($7,200)

Starting 11th

Not as much upside as Kraus usually has since he has his second-best starting spot of the season, but Kraus is coming off a fifth-place finish last night, and now has six top 15s in a row.

I've been saying for a few weeks now that this Bill McAnally team was about to arrive. Well, y'all -- I think it's arrived. Kraus still hasn't led a lap this year and this truck is unlikely to produce race-winning speed in 2020, but this is a top-10 truck now. Kraus is one of the most intriguing young drivers in the sport. And his DFS pricing is still behind guys like Clay Greenfield and Jordan Anderson.

Ty Majeski #45 ($6,900)

Starting 5th

Majeski's probably going to wind up with the fewest points of anyone in this lineup. He was the final driver I inserted, and with the money remaining for us, he had by far the most upside, since we saw on Friday that he's capable of piloting this 45 truck to a strong finish here.

Yes, you'll likely lose place differential points, but barring an accident Majeski should run in or close to the top 10 in this one, which will still allow him to produce a good number of fantasy points. Low upside, but can help be a solid producer for this lineup.

Travis Pastrana #40 ($6,600)

Starting 34th

Here's where things get interesting.

This is the 40 truck, i.e. the top Niece Motorsports truck that we usually see Ross Chastain in. Now, maybe on Saturday we see Niece pump a little more into Majeski than usual, but it's still hard to ignore this particular truck when it rolls off 34th.

The potential issue: the driver. You know the name Travis Pastrana from motocross, but he also had a brief NASCAR career. He made 42 Xfinity starts with four top 10s, and has three Truck starts with two top 20s.

Pastrana might not be a great NASCAR driver, but he's in a good truck with place differential upside. If he can produce a race where he gets to his average Truck finish of 17.7, the fantasy points will be rolling in for you.
