NASCAR DFS Prop Picks: Food City Dirt Race - Monkey Knife Fight

Sunday features the Food City Dirt Race from Bristol. Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, and Martin Truex Jr will make up the top five to start the race. Monkey Knife Fight has an extremely easy fantasy point system: 0.1 points for each lap led and then a set amount of points for their position (20 for 1st place, 19 for 2nd place, 18 for 3rd, and so on).

Our friends at Monkey Knife Fight offer some of the coolest, and easiest to win, NASCAR DFS games in the industry. If you haven't checked out these games yet, you can start this weekend! There are no massive tournaments where you have to get ridiculously lucky just to cash because, at MKF, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the betting line, and the dudes at MKF have fallen all over themselves to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a $50 deposit bonus.

We'll be helping you along every day and night where there's a race, by providing you with expert prop picks all NASCAR season long here at RotoBaller.

Pick 1: More or Less Fantasy Points (2/2)

Recommended Prop Pick: Kyle Larson LESS 19.5 Fantasy Points and Christopher Bell LESS 18.5 Fantasy Points

Larson and Bell are projected to be two of the higher fantasy point producers on Sunday and lucky for us, we can bet on both of them but...

Can Larson move back up the field and lead enough laps? That is the question. Both of these guys are favored in Vegas. Larson is the favorite on the boards while Bell is second. Both have won races in 2021 and the question is can anyone win for a second time this season? Larson's 19.5 total means he either has to finish top-three or lead at least 30 laps or more. The feeling is that he could do both but Bristol is a fierce track and the risk here is high. Larson will come very close but the feeling is to take the LESS.

Bell is also set at a high point total of 18.5. He attained this high of a point total probably because of his career results and abundance of top-five finishes on dirt tracks. Then, there is the fact that between these two drivers, they have won five Chili Bowls (crown royale of dirt track racing). Bell did win on the road course at Daytona as well. This is a different animal. It is a half-mile of insanity but on dirt, not asphalt.

Bell has the race car to finish well but will it be enough? If place differential was involved, we would be tempted but taking the LESS here is the safe bet. The feeling is Bell could be around 18 points. The feeling is that we will go 7/7 in different winners heading into the Easter break.

Pick 2: More or Less Fantasy Points (2/2)

Recommended Prop Pick: Chase Briscoe LESS 17.5 Fantasy Points, Austin Dillon LESS 16.5 Fantasy Points

This prop gives us much trepidation honestly so we will be conservative. With the drivers that MKF offers and no qualifying, finding a few individual props that you are confident about and using them in multiple contests seems to be the way to attack a race.

The idea here is to hope that Chase Briscoe and Austin Dillon do not lead many laps. The chances either one finish in the top-five is not that high. So, this comes down to laps lead. If neither one does so, then the LESS hits on both with ease. Remember, 16 points goes to the 5th place finisher.

These point totals are not high because of projection. They are high because neither has shown much this season when it comes to leading laps. Both drivers race well on the dirt and that was shown in their practice sessions. The concern comes to the long runs on race day. Can they sustain their cars long enough to get near the lead then lead some laps? Honestly, neither lead enough to go over their totals and why we take the LESS again on Sunday at Bristol.
