Monday Night Football Prop Picks for Week 8 - Monkey Knife Fight

Corey Johnson's NFL DFS prop picks for the Steelers vs. Dolphins Monday Night Football contests. Use these Week 8 recommendations to win on Monkey Knife Fight.

Our friends at Monkey Knife Fight offer some of the coolest, and easiest to win, NFL DFS games in the industry. If you haven't checked out these games yet, you can start tonight for the Monday Night Football game! There are no massive tournaments where you have to get ridiculously lucky just to cash because, at MKF, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the betting line, and the dudes at MKF have fallen all over themselves to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.

We'll be helping you along every night where there's a football game, by providing you with expert prop picks all NFL season long here at RotoBaller.

Week 8 Monday Night Football features a matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Miami Dolphins-- the game will be played in Pittsburgh, has an implied total of 42.5, and a spread of around 14.5 points favoring the Steelers. It's pretty obvious that this game could be pretty ugly but from a Monkey Knife Fight perspective, there are plenty of places to attack this game!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Pick 1: Touchdown Dance

Recommended Prop Pick: James Conner, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Devante Parker to Score 1.5+ Total Touchdowns

The Steelers are huge favorites, as they should be because there is a really good chance that the Steelers score early in this game and resort to running the ball more often than normal. Ideally, Smith-Schuster will be involved early in the passing game and collect a touchdown. Smith-Schuster has been really quiet this season, as being the WR1 has proven to be a difficult transition for him with three different quarterbacks taking snaps for the Steelers. However, he has numerous targets in every game this season and has the raw talent to find the end zone on nearly any play. The Dolphins Defense has little chance of containing Smith-Schuster for the entire game in this matchup. If (when) the Steelers take the lead, Connor will become the workhorse and should see numerous red-zone touches. As for Parker, he has been trending up recently. In Week 7 he saw 10 targets, including two red-zone targets. Simply put, the Dolphins offense is terrible, and leaning on Parker will be the only way the Dolphins may be able to stay in this game.

I recommend going with the safe 1.5+ touchdowns for 1.5x your buy-in but feel free to decrease your bet and go with the 2.5 or even 3.5 total touchdowns!

Pick 2: Over/Under Fantasy Point Contest

Recommended Prop Pick: JuJu Smith-Schuster OVER 15.5 Fantasy Points and Preston Williams OVER 10.5 Fantasy Points

Neither of these team's passing defenses are particularly good. Of course, neither are their passing offenses either, but these receivers should be able to be productive enough to collect a respectable amount of fantasy points. As mentioned above, Smith-Schuster hasn't been all that productive this season but has an excellent chance to really breakthrough against the Dolphins. With the PPR format that MKF offers, Smith-Schuster should be able to destroy his 15.5 fantasy total with about six to seven receptions or four to five receptions combined with a touchdown. As for Williams, he has been somewhat of a shining light in the otherwise terrible season the Dolphins are having. Williams has proven himself has an excellent pass-catcher, and it would not be a surprise if the Dolphins try to draw up some more plays for him. Williams has seen at least six targets in every game this season, including 12 targets in Week 2. With that many targets, he will be able to get over that 10.5 fantasy point threshold more often than not.

Pick 3: Rapid Fire Fantasy Point Contest

Recommended Prop Pick: James Conner (-7.5) and Mason Rudolph (-1.5)

As mentioned, Conner should be the workhorse of the Steeler's offense if (when) they take the lead. Conner is a really solid back and should be able to run all over the Dolphins Defense. Therefore, a 20+ touch, 100+ yard, and touchdown or two game for Conner is well within reach. With Kenyan Drake headed to the Arizona Cardinals, Mark Walton is expected to be the lead back, and the 7.5 spread of fantasy points is just not enough to consider taking Walton.

In order for Smith-Schuster to have a solid game, Rudolph will also need to play well. Even if Smith-Schuster manages to collect five to seven receptions and score a touchdown, Rudolph should be able to beat the -1.5 points spread that MKF is offering. Rudolph will likely be able to spread the ball around against the relatively weak Dolphins defense, making a three to four touchdown game an absolute possibility. As long as Smith-Schuster doesn't have a multi-touchdown game, Rudolph should come out on top of this prop bet.
