MLB DFS - Lineup Picks & Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 6/27/15

Today is a full day of MLB action with plenty of favorable matchups. I believe this is the day to really stack up on the top pitchers. There are plenty of solid hitting options that have a low asking prices. With this, I give you a mix of some must-start and some sleeper picks that should help mold your perfect lineup for DraftKings games on Saturday July 27th.

I hate, I mean absolutely hate arrogance and cockiness but seeing how this is my job...you all better start paying attention if you want to make some money. There is a good chance I jinxed myself with that last statement but the research I have done and the matchups I have exposed here are spot on. Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Nationals vs. LHP Adam Morgan

The Nationals are in the the top half of the league when facing LHP this season. When Bryce Harper, Clint Robinson and Danny Espinosa are all maintaining a +.400 wOBA against LHP, their matchup with Adam Morgan is prime for the Nationals to dominate. Morgan has a .354 wOBA / .583 SLG % vs. RHB, and .401 wOBA / .444 SLG % vs. LHB. Those numbers should make the anyone in the Nationals lineup a potential option but Clint Robinson is a must-start for today. His .421 wOBA / .250 SLG % / 171 wRC+ will not lead to any homers but should produce plenty of base hits.

Giants vs. LHP Chris Rusin

While the Nationals are picking apart the Phillies’ LHP, the Giants should do the same to Rusin. His horrible stat line when facing both right and left handed batters leaves the Giants as one the top batting teams today. Rusin is sacrificing .340 wOBA / .443 SLG % to RHB, and .423 wOBA / .629 SLG % to LHB. This matchup favors the LHB more but Rusin has a stat line that appeals to both sides of the plate. Of all the lefty Giants today, Andrew Susac should have a solid game against the struggling Rusin. The Giants are seventh in BA when facing LHP this season and tenth in wRC+. Joe Panik and Angel Pagan are other cheaper options that should outscore their projection today.
 

DFS Starting Pitchers to Target for DraftKings

Michael Wacha (SP, STL) - $10,200

The Cubs are 22nd in the MLB when it comes to wRC+. They are also playing at a pitchers ballpark which only helps Wacha's matchup. To go along with the Cubs 24.9 K% when facing RHP this season, Wacha is throwing a .272 wOBA / .335 SLG% to RHB, and .265 wOBA / .327 SLG% against LHB. Wacha is statistically one of the premier hurlers today and his contest with the Cubs is one that Wacha should dominate.

Garrett Richards (SP, LAA) - $9,200

Garrett Richards takes on the Mariners in Anaheim where pitchers are favored. The Mariners have struggled to get on base and score against RHP and they both are in the bottom ten in the league for both categories. Richards has solid numbers this season against both right and left handed batters, .275 wOBA / .318 SLG % vs. RHB, .293 wOBA / .329 SLG % vs. LHB.

 

DFS Infielders to Target for DraftKings

Jason Kipnis (2B, CLE) - $4,400

You cannot ask for much more from Jason Kipnis, his .455 wOBA / .572 SLG % / 200 wRC+ against RHP makes this a steal for his asking price. He is too consistent to pass up especially when he goes against a struggling Chris Tillman.

James McCann (C, DET) - $2,700

This is one of the cheaper options that is the most enticing. McCann’s .402 wOBA / .564 SLG % / 159 wRC+ should rise after today when he faces lefty John Danks who has been made an example of when facing RHB. Danks has a .398 wOBA and .570 SLG % against RHB this season which should be exposed by McCann. Check your lineups as McCann is not an every day player but if he's in the Tigers lineup he should be in yours.

Jose Iglesias (SS/3B, DET) - $3,100

Another steal that has a great matchup and even higher potential than McCann. Jose Iglesias is a little more expensive than McCann but offers a greater upside. His .461 wOBA / .569 SLG% / 200 wRC+ vs LHP equate to superstar like potential. Like before, Danks struggles against RHB whereas Iglesias tends to have his way with LHP.

Chris Parmelee (1B/OF, BAL) - $3,100

With a little added risk Parmelee is a suitable option for players looking to free up space to grab the top pitchers in today’s contests. Parmelee is .491 wOBA / 800 SLG% / 221 wRC+ vs. RHP, which are heavily swayed due to less AB, but nonetheless impressive. He faces RHP Cody Anderson who has had difficulty against LHB historically. Parmlee has a ton of potential given his price.
 

DFS Outfielders to Target for DraftKings

David Murphy (OF, CLE) - $3,000

With his matchup against Chris Tillman, Murphy could be one the top hitters for his price for today. A .364 wOBA / .479 SLG % / 137 wRC+ vs. RHP stat line does not jump out at you but given his favorable matchup with Tillman, (.405 wOBA / .577 SLG %) Murphy has the potential to have a great day against a struggling pitcher.

Curtis Granderson (OF, NYM) - $3,900

His .372 wOBA / .468 SLG % / 142 wRC+ against RHP are solid numbers but not enough to make him a must-start. His matchup with Michael Lorenzen who is giving up a .389 wOBA and .506 SLG % to opposing LHB is what makes him a must-start. As a top hitter on the Mets, Granderson is due for a big day at home.

Joc Pederson (OF, LAD) - $4,200

Out of all the matchups for today, this is the top one. Joc has a .410 wOBA / .562 SLG % / 167 wRC+ when facing RHP. He faces Tom Koehler who has some serious trouble with LHB giving up a .365 wOBA / .490 SLG %. With Pederson as one of the most dangerous on the team, his matchup and price are both ideal for him to easily outscore his projection.
