Andy's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Sunday, 4/13/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Welcome back, RotoBallers! The MLB regular season is in full swing, and we have another full slate of DFS action to break down. Today, we will look at a jam-packed Sunday slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
On today's slate, we have several aces in favorable matchups that I will be highlighting. In fact, there are four top pitching matchups that I would view as "top" plays this afternoon. On the hitting side, I will identify several stacks that I will be targeting that are highlighted by the Houston Astros, who are beginning to turn the corner. Their contest against the Angels carried one of the highest O/U marks on the slate.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/13/2025, with the slate starting at 1:35 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Hunter Greene vs. PIT ($8.5K DraftKings; $10.8K FanDuel)
Hunter Greene has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign and has a fantastic matchup against the Pittsburgh Pirates this afternoon. Through his first three starts, the hard-throwing right-hander has tossed 20 2/3 innings to the tune of a 1.31 ERA and a 0.63 WHIP. He struck out 23 batters and has served up just three free passes.
The Pirates have posted the 11th-highest strikeout rate against and sixth-lowest ISO against right-handed pitching this season.

Garrett Crochet vs. CWS ($9.4K DraftKings; $10.6K FanDuel)
My other pitcher to target is Garrett Crochet. Crochet had a modest showing in his last start but held an impressive 1.38 ERA with a 0.92 WHIP across his first two outings. During his hot start, he struck out 12 batters in 13 innings.
On Sunday, he will face the Chicago White Sox, who have posted the seventh-lowest wRC+ and the 13th-highest strikeout rate against southpaws. Expect a big bounce-back for Crochet this afternoon.
Also consider: Zack Wheeler vs. STL ($10.3K DraftKings; $11K FanDuel), MacKenzie Gore vs. MIA ($8.1K DraftKings; $9.2K FanDuel)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Nathaniel Lowe - 1B, WSH vs. Cal Quantrill ($3.5K DK; $3.1K FD)
Nathaniel Lowe has had a modest stretch of performances but should be poised for an impressive outing on Sunday against Miami right-hander Cal Quantrill. Quantrill has not found much success with his fastball as it has generated a high .740 xSLG.
When facing fastballs from right-handed pitching this season, Lowe has generated a stellar 1.072 xSLG and a 60.0 percent hard-hit rate.

Bo Bichette - SS, TOR vs. Cade Povich ($4.5K DK; $2.9K FD)
Bo Bichette has been the everyday leadoff hitter in Toronto during the early part of the campaign. Bichette entered Saturday's contest carrying a strong .308/.367/.385 line with two doubles and five RBI.
He should be poised to enjoy similar success facing Baltimore southpaw Cade Povich, who allowed 12 hits and four runs in his last start. Expect Bichette to be the catalyst of the Toronto offense in this contest.
Isaac Paredes – 3B, HOU vs. Kyle Hendricks ($3.6K DK; $3K FD)
My final infielder to highlight is Isaac Paredes. Whenever Paredes is playing at Daikin Park, he is worth considering, and facing Kyle Hendricks, he is a perfect match. Daikin Park's dimensions are built for a pull-hitter like Paredes. At home this season, he has posted a stellar .836 OPS, which is much higher compared to the .641 OPS he holds on the road.
He will face Hendricks this afternoon, who posted a disastrous 5.92 ERA last summer. While he has found success during his first two starts in Los Angeles, his 35.5 percent ground-ball rate suggests regression is coming. Paredes should be in a prime position in this matchup as he has generated a strong 60.0 percent hard-hit facing changeups, which is Hendrick's most-used pitch.
Also consider: Jonathan India (KC), Elly De La Cruz (CIN), Jeremy Pena (HOU), Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (TOR)
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Yordan Alvarez - OF, HOU vs. Kyle Hendricks ($5.7K DK; $3.7K FD)
After starting the season on a cold stretch, Alvarez has begun to turn the corner. Entering Saturday, the slugger posted a .33/.429/.476 slash line with a long ball and five RBI over his previous six contests.
While Alvarez has struggled against changeups this season (when facing right-handers), he should find elite success against Hendricks' second-most-used pitch, his sinker. When facing sinkers from right-handed pitching this season, the 27-year-old has generated a 75.0 percent hard-hit rate with a .417 xSLG.
James Wood - OF, WSH vs. Cal Quantrill ($5.1K DK; $3.5K FD)
James Wood enters Sunday's contest swinging a smoking hot bat. Over his last six games, entering Saturday, Wood has posted a stellar .333/.462/1.000 with two doubles and four round-trippers. He has tallied 10 RBI and held a strong 5:5 BB:K.
He should play well against Quantrill, who has struggled to find success with his fastball. The former top prospect has generated an incredible 62.5 percent hard-hit rate when facing fastballs from right-handed pitching this season.

Kyle Schwarber - OF, PHI vs. Matthew Liberatore ($6.1K DK; $4.3K FD)
Entering Saturday, Kyle Schwarber posted a stellar .649 SLG with four long balls over his last 10 games. He should be poised for similar success facing St. Louis left-hander Matthew Liberatore. While most left-handed bats see their production drop when facing southpaws, Schwarber is the exception. When facing left-handed pitching this season, Schwarber has posted an incredible 1.167 SLG with a 1.792 OPS.
He should enjoy similar success against Matthew Liberatore's primary pitch, his fastball. When facing fastballs from lefties, he has generated a .706 xwOBA.
Also consider: Riley Greene (DET), TJ Friedl (CIN), Heliot Ramos (SFG), George Springer (TOR)
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
1. Astros vs. Kyle Hendricks
Hendricks has allowed just two runs over his first two starts but is poised for significant regression facing the Houston Astros. Last season, the right-hander posted a 5.92 ERA with a 1.45 WHIP. Through his first two starts, he has already generated a 3.60 xERA and a low 35.5 percent hard-hit rate, which suggests regression could be on its way.
The Astros have scored 20 runs over their past two games entering Saturday and match up well against Hendrick's changeup and sinker.
Fave combo -Alvarez, Paredes, Smith, Altuve
2. Phillies vs. Matthew Liberatore
Liberatore enters Sunday holding a 5.84 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP. He has allowed three runs in each of his two starts, including five during his last outing against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
His primary pitch, his fastball, has generated a hefty .466 xSLG. His secondary pitch, his slider, has generated whiffs at a solid rate (29.2 percent) but has also generated a hefty .447 xSLG.
Fave Combo - Schwarber, Castellanos, Bohm, Turner
3. Nationals vs. Cal Quantrill
My final lineup to stack is the Washington Nationals against Miami right-hander Quantrill. Quantrill tossed six shutout frames in his most recent start but stumbled in his first outing as he allowed eight hits and six runs to the New York Mets.
Over his first nine innings, the 30-year-old has generated a 4.98 xERA with a .291 xBA. He has also generated a high 56.7 percent hard-hit rate.
Fave combo - Lowe, Wood, Bell, Ruiz
