Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was upgraded to "full" in his practice on Thursday. He had been out with a hamstring injury since Week 3. Lynch is expected to play this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
Head Coach Pete Carroll said that Lynch is still very much locked-in as the lead running back for Seattle.
"I think he's earned that," Carroll said. "There's always been a rotation here to some extent, we want to keep Marshawn as fresh as we can and keep him at a really high tempo, so we'll do that like we've done in the past, but Thomas (Rawls) will be the number two."
If Lynch returns on Sunday against the Panthers, it will be in a limited fashion. It can be expected that Seattle will not fully depend on Lynch in his first game back from a hamstring injury. Expect Rawls to continue to see a healthy amount of carries this Sunday.
