DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/7/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Rafael Devers - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB DFS Picks, Betting Picks

The top main-slate daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on July 7, 2023. Nick Shlain's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Friday, RotoBallers! I'm excited to cover another big DFS slate. We have another full slate of games this Friday. Let's break down my favorite plays for today's main slate!

We have a big 12-game main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Even so, this isn't the most stacked pitching slate for a slate this size. The Atlanta Braves offense isn't on the main slate, which is a nice change of pace. We’ll see if we can decipher some value out of it all.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks on 7/7/2023 and the main slate locking at 7:05 pm ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. Now that we got all that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Corbin Burnes, MIL vs. CIN ($9,000 DK, $9,600 FD)

Burnes isn't on the Cy Young path this year with a 4.00 ERA at this point in the season, but he's pitched a lot better lately. He's had at least seven strikeouts in seven of his last 10 starts. He has a 25% strikeout percentage against left-handed hitters this year compared to a 20% strikeout percentage against right-handed hitters this year. It should help Burnes that Cincinnati has five left-handed hitters in their projected lineup tonight.

Burnes might be the most popular pitcher on both sites tonight, but with as many options as there are on a big slate like this, he won't be heavy chalk.

Zac Gallen, ARI vs. PIT ($9,600 DK, $10,100 FD)

Gallen's recent form is arguably even better than Burnes'. Gallen struck out 12 batters against the Los Angeles Angels in his last start. His ERA and xFIP are certainly much lower compared to Burnes with a 3.15 ERA and 3.44 xFIP. The big thing for Gallen tonight is that he has been fantastic at home. Gallen has a 1.50 ERA pitching at home so far this season. That's worth the high price tag for him tonight.

Gallen should also be a popular pick on both sites tonight, but with so many options rostership will be spread out a bit among the top pitchers.

Also consider: Aaron Civale, Hunter Brown

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani - OF, LAA vs. Tony Gonsolin ($6,500 DK, $4,400 FD)

Without Ronald Acuna Jr. and the Braves on this slate, Ohtani is the best expensive player on both sites tonight. Ohtani has incredible numbers against right-handed pitching this season. He has a .348 ISO and .436 wOBA with just a 21% strikeouts percentage against right-handed pitching this year. Tony Gonsolin has a 3.69 ERA this year, but his xFIP is 5.05 and any matchup is a good matchup for Ohtani at this point.

Giancarlo Stanton- OF, NYY vs. Jameson Taillon ($4,500 DK, $3,000 FD)

Stanton has been hitting the ball hard lately but hasn't been rewarded with any home runs. He scalded a ball of the top of the wall for a double last week. Jameson Taillon might be able to help things for Stanton as he's been terrible with a 6.93 ERA this season. Stanton's price has come down enough to where he's a really good play in this matchup and shouldn't be popular at all.

Jarren Duran - OF, BOS vs. Luis Medina ($3,500 DK, $2,900 FD)

Duran is simply way too cheap for what he's been doing at the plate recently. He only has four home runs this season, but he hit .286 in June with eight stolen bases. In July, he's 8-for-13 with one steal in four games so far. Medina has a 6.37 ERA and has allowed a .175 ISO and .343 wOBA to left-handed hitters this year. Duran has a .202 ISO and .382 wOBA against right-handed pitchers this year. It's a good matchup for a hot hitter and he's underpriced.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Corey Seager - SS, TEX vs. Trevor Williams ($6,200 DK, $4,200 FD)

With Luis Arraez of the Miami Marlins chasing a possible .400 batting average this season, no one is talking about Seager hitting .360 at this point in the year. Seager's numbers are outstanding against right-handed pitching as he has a .277 ISO and .456 wOBA against right-handed pitching this year. He gets a ballpark upgrade going to Washington tonight. Trevor Williams has allowed a .180 ISO and .364 wOBA to left-handed hitters this season. He's expensive, but he's one of the best hitters on the slate tonight.

Justin Turner - 1B, BOS vs. Luis Medina ($4,000 DK, $3,400 FD)

While Medina's numbers aren't good against left-handed hitters, they're even worse against right-handed hitters. Medina has allowed a .292 ISO and .405 wOBA to right-handed hitters this year. While most of the Red Sox lineup is made up of left-handed hitters, Turner is right-handed. He's also back to being first-base eligible so you can use him with Rafael Devers in your Boston stacks tonight.

Anthony Volpe- SS, NYY vs. Jameson Taillon ($3,500 DK, $2,900 FD)

Volpe looked like he might be on his way back to the minor leagues, but has since turned things around at the plate. He finished June with a .265 average and is 8-for-26 with two home runs in July. He's awfully cheap on both sites for a player who's on pace for 20 home runs and 30 stolen bases. Volpe might even be in the leadoff spot tonight for this matchup against Taillon.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Boston Red Sox vs. Luis Medina

Medina hasn't been good at home this year, but he's been especially bad on the road with a 7.43 ERA. That's not gonna get it done against the Red Sox at Fenway Park. Behind him, Oakland has the worst bullpen ERA in the league by far with a 5.69 bullpen ERA. Fourth of July is over, but there should still be fireworks in Boston tonight. With Medina's poor numbers against right-handed hitters, Justin Turner, Adam Duvall, Conner Wong, and Yu Chang are in play tonight.

New York Yankees vs. Jameson Taillon

Not only has the Yankees offense been perking up lately and they have a good matchup against Taillon, but New York is also familiar with Taillon given he was on the team last year. While the Yankees offense has been better lately, it's not reflected in their prices yet. Anthony Rizzo has really struggled and is down to $4,100 on DraftKings, but Harrison Bader has been hot and he's even cheaper. It's a good spot to play the Yankees at home.

Also Consider: Texas Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers
