Logan Webb (SP, SFG) - Week 16 Waiver Wire Pickups

Kyle Bishop profiles Giants pitcher Logan Webb as a potential waiver wire pickup and free agent add for Week 16 of the 2021 MLB season.

BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues

ROSTERED IN: 22% of leagues

ANALYSIS: Logan Webb got some sleeper buzz based on a strong spring training performance, but early struggles when the games began to count led most fantasy managers to abandon ship. He'd reeled off four quality starts and another strong five-inning in six outings before landing on the injured list with a shoulder sprain. In his return last week, the 24-year-old struck out the side in the first inning and allowed just one hit in three scoreless frames.

Webb's 26.6% strikeout rate, 58.7% ground ball rate, and friendly home park give him an excellent foundation to build on, and with the Giants showing no signs of slowing down, he has a strong team behind him as well. He's currently available in over three-quarters of Yahoo leagues, but that number figures to shrink considerably moving forward.
