BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Leagues
OWNED IN: 24% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: A TON of you were scared off by the bad start of Ketel Marte and I can't say I would have blamed you. But if you stuck it out and made him your SS with confidence for the year or kept/drafted him in a dynasty league you will absolutely adore what is to come for this budding star.
Don't get me wrong I am still very concerned about the .22 BB/K ratio that he is sporting right now but give it time and he should become more disciplined. Marte is still sporting a .341 BABIP with an OPS of .753 which should also rise after he drags himself out of his early slump.
The 20 SB potential is still there and his 90+ R potential is still very much in reach for a team that has still thrived even through his struggles. And during his "slump" he is still hitting .289 and still has a wRC+ of 90.
He remains at or near the top of a lineup with Nelson Cruz, Kyle Seagar, and Robinson Cano hitting behind him and he has really picked it up as of late. The fact that he is only owned in 24% of of leagues right now is an amazing stat given all the hype from late in 2015 and the positioning he has been placed into for the Mariners in 2016. This guy is in the long term plans in Seattle and should prove why he will be fantasy gold very soon.
