KBO DFS Lineup Picks for 5/24/20 - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball

Jag Twigg's KBO DFS lineup picks for contests on FanDuel and DraftKings on 5/24/20. Daily fantasy baseball analysis for pitchers, hitters and DFS stacks.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another KBO DFS column. It's me, @DfsKbo again, here to breakdown tonight's slate. After being able to enjoy a couple of days of competent SPs, we may be looking at another night of crapshoot pitching. However, two options should be able to keep us above the ground.

New to KBO? Don't worry, we got you covered! DraftKings and FanDuel will use the same scoring system that they do for MLB, however, the roster builds are much different on FanDuel. You must roster two infielders, two outfielders, and two utility players along with a pitcher for a total of only seven players on FanDuel. DraftKings has kept its normal MLB structure with two starting pitchers and an entire eight-hitter lineup for a total of ten players. Building lineups on each site is going to be a good bit different on most nights.

Today, I'll be providing my KBO DFS lineup picksand analysis for this five-game slates on DraftKings and FanDuel that start at 1:00 AM on Sunday, May 24, 2020. Make sure you are also following me @DfsKbo on Twitter!

KBO DFS Pitchers

Mike Wright, NCD (DraftKings - $8,900, FanDuel - $27)

Wright has proven to be one of the top arms in the KBO, and with a great matchup on this slate, he should come in at very high ownership.

While fading someone this high owned is always an option, I'll be eating the chalk tonight as Wright has shown the ability to strike guys out in the bigs and has carried it over to the KBO. Wright has struck out 16 batters in 16 IP so far this season, and two of his starts were against the two teams that strike out the least in the KBO.

Tonight, he sees a shutout-friendly offense in Hanwha, it all makes too much sense, justifying his ownership. Hanwha is bound to finally get their offense going one of these nights, but it's highly unlikely that it's tonight. Wright has had trouble getting quick innings this year, but on a slate like this, it is safe to ignore that risk and take his high floor.

Young-ha Lee, DOO (DraftKings - $8,300, FanDuel - $24)

Behind Wright tonight, it's all about just dodging bullets. However, I think Lee stands out as the safest option tonight out of the rest of the group. If you've watched Lee so far this year, he's been average at best.

However, coming off a dominant 2019 season with a 3.64 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP, the 22-year-old is still considered a rising prospect, and tonight could be the spot to get back on track against a scuffling Samsung team. Something to monitor is Samsung three hitter Ja-wook Koo, as he departed last night's game with a sore thigh.

Koo has been Samsung's best hitter this year hitting .361, and him being out would be a huge boost for Lee. While Lee does not possess a high strikeout upside, Samsung has shown the ability to miss bats themselves, and Doosan is heavily favorited tonight giving Lee a great chance to pick up the win. With Wright and Lee both being expensive, Lee should be fairly lower owned, making him my favorite play behind Wright tonight.

Other starters to consider:

  • Chan-gyu Lim (DraftKings - $7,200, FanDuel - $25)
  • William Cuevas (DraftKings - $7,800, FanDuel - $25)

KBO DFS Top Hitter Stacks

Kiwoom Heroes

Kiwoom bats have been heating up, and tonight they face a 19-year-old pitcher who has given up 12 earned runs in his last nine innings, including four home runs. Not only that, but Lotte's bullpen is shot. They worked a full nine innings in a bullpen game yesterday and had to work five innings in the previous game as well.

At the top of Kiwoom's batting order we see Keon-chang Seo who is red hot on a 12 game hit streak, and behind him, Ha-seong Kim who has recorded double-digit DraftKings points in his past five full games. Great spot to stack this Kiwoom lineup tonight, as they also as a team have hit about .45 points higher on the road.

Players to consider:

  • Keon-chang Seo (1B,2B)
  • Ha-seong Kim (SS)
  • Jung-hoo Lee (OF)
  • Byungho Park (1B)
  • Dong-won Park (C)

Doosan Bears

As long as Doosan is in this spot, they're going to produce. Tonight they face Buchanan who is no stranger to the long ball, and Samsung's bullpen has been getting worked this series. After only recording 47 DraftKings points in the past two games, DraftKings gave Jose Fernandez a $400 price reduction for his lousy work.

Whether you stack Doosan or not, Fernandez is a staple in all lineups, going deep in back to back games and getting his batting average back up to .500. Doosan, while they will be highly-owned, is a very safe option for tonight. Beware Jae-hwan Kim however, I warned yesterday how he has been lost at the plate, and he came up hitless again yesterday.

Players to consider:

  • Jose Fernandez (1B/2B)
  • Joo-hwan Choi (1B/2B)
  • Kyoung-min Hur (3B)
  • Soo-bin Jung (OF)
  • Jae-hwan Kim (OF)
  • Se-hyuk Park (C)

Other stacks to consider:

  • SK Wyverns (love Dong-min Han one-off)
  • KIA Tigers

Good luck in your contests everyone, and stop back again for more KBO DFS analysis at RotoBaller!
