Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett had been running well all day against the Cleveland Browns. He ripped off a long run down the right sideline only to get tackled awkwardly and twist his ankle. He did not return to the game (although do note that there was very little game left at this point). Hopefully it is a low ankle sprain and not a high ankle sprain, which takes longer to heal. He was able to walk off of the field on his own power, which is an encouraging preliminary sight to behold.
Forsett was dominating for Baltimore, racking up 21 carries for 121 yards and touchdown while tacking on four catches for 49 yards (on five targets) before he left the game. Lorenzo Taliaferro was inactive for Baltimore today, meaning that Forsett saw more action than usual, with Javorius Allen (also known as Buck Allen) being the only other running back active for the Ravens. Allen had one long run that made up most of his yardage (a 44 yard run, he had 58 yards total), but a 2.0 YPC on his seven other carries for 14 yards. With Taliaferro banged up and Forsett potentially not 100%, Allen might be thrust into starting duties next week against San Francisco. Baltimore will cross all of their fingers that this is not the case.
