BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Leagues
OWNED IN: 21% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: Justin Bour has been labeled as an "all or nothing" type of hitter. He racks up a ton of K and provides some cheap power at the 1B and CI position in fantasy leagues. Bour's BABIP is about 30 points below his career average right now and his SLG% is about 30 points higher than his career average. However, every other stat is about where they need to be. The biggest difference is the increased BB% and the slight uptick in OPS, OBP and ISO while still delivering the power that comes with his success.
If he can continue these trends and get himself out of only facing RHP, Bour could become an incredibly sneaky source of cheap power. For the moment shallow leagues can avoid him as there are simply better options. But in 12+ leagues, owners should jump on the chance that he will earn the everyday playing status that his stats show he can be.
The Marlins are playing competitive baseball right now and Bour's main competition is Chris Johnson who is batting a cool .222 for the season. Bour is going to hit 20-25 HR this season and if he gets back to hitting .300 he will be someone you wish you would have bought into.
