Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten would almost have to be close to death, blind, and deaf in order not to see playing time - and even then it would be likely he'd suit up anyway. Despite some (and by "some", we mean that one guy overheard cussing to himself while sitting alone at Buffalo Wild Wings) whispers that Witten might not play as his already damaged Cowboys face the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the ironclad tight end is probable for Week 3.
The Cowboys had a major setback during their Week 2 win against the Philadelphia Eagles when quarterback Tony Romo was taken out with a broken clavicle (who joined wide receiver Dez Bryant on the PUP list), so losing Witten, who hadn't missed a game since 2006, would have been the final nail in the offensive coffin that is Dallas' Week 3.
One concern for fantasy owners is the fact that the passes usually slung by Romo will now be launched from back-up quarterback Brandon Weeden's lackluster arm, so owners should be wise to not be extremely ambitious about Witten starting.
