MATCHUP/VALUE: vs DET, $9,300
ANALYSIS: The drop in salary is warranted, but in the last 10 days, we've seen Harden's salary go from $10,500 all the way down to $9,300. That's quite a bargain. He has been a disappointment lately in terms of fantasy production, but the opportunity is always there for The Beard, and that's what I'm paying for tonight. Of all the shooting guards lacing up Wednesday, only Wade is even in the same arena as Harden in terms of usage rate, and Harden rarely ever plays less than 35 minutes a night. (See what I mean with regard to opportunity?) Detroit isn't the most ideal matchup because the pace at which they operate is about average in the NBA, but they also don't defend the two-guard position very well, either.
