Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins enjoyed a massive breakout in 2023. Seemingly coming out of nowhere, he played a crucial part in engineering the biggest breakout offense of last season, lighting up stat sheets regularly with eye-popping numbers.
Collins entered this season as Houston's clear No. 1 and hasn't had a problem. The no-brainer pick has scored 17.7, 27.5, and 12.6 PPR fantasy points in each of his first three contests. He's the unquestioned alpha. Unlike some receivers in the league, he signed a big contract without holding out and immediately went to work dominating.
Collins appeared on Thursday's injury report, though. Is he healthy or hurt? Will he play in Week 4? Let's dive into an injury update for Collins and his fantasy football outlook.

Nico Collins Injury Update for Fantasy Football
There is some legitimate concern over Collins' injury status. He wasn't designated on the injury report at all on Wednesday but practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday. It's unclear if he hurt his hamstring last game and didn't need a limited practice until today, is being load-managed, or got hurt during Wednesday's practice.

There aren't many details on Collins' injury beyond that. Fantasy managers should always have backup plans in case their star players are injured, but it's a good thing we haven't heard there's concern about him missing time.
The problem is that it's a hamstring injury. Teams seem to be taking more cautious approaches toward the dreaded hammy problems this year, which is probably the best thing to do. It's a persistent injury that can linger for a long time.
Fantasy managers would be best to assume players with hamstring injuries won't play so they can be better prepared.
