Introducing "Bell's Best Bets" - A Premium, Daily MLB Betting Article Series

Tommy Bell (@BellRoto) introduces and explains his plans for a new daily MLB betting series and how you can come along for the ride.

Who is BellRoto?

What's up RotoBallers!? It's officially baseball season, and THAT is cause for celebration!!

If you don't know me, my name is Tommy Bell (@BellRoto on Twitter), and I worked with Steve Janik churning out MLB bets during the shortened season last year. It was my first year solely focusing on the MLB betting grind each day, and it went really well!

2020 Best Bets Recap

As you'll see in my last baseball tweet of 2020, we were up as many as 20 units at one point during a massive hot streak before slowly coming back down to about 5 units profit to end the year. My total record for the 2-month season was 106-92, and I had between two and four bets most nights with the occasional late add when I felt value popped up.

So when it came time to plan out my calendar and commitment this baseball season, jumping on an opportunity to provide daily betting analysis and plays was a no-brainer.

2021 Best Bets

Across every sport we have, the RotoBaller Premium Memberships have become some of the most reliable and valuable analysis in the fantasy and betting world, and I'm excited to be able to contribute to that incredible group of expert sports minds. So I've decided to turn my "Bell's Best Bets" Twitter endeavor that was tied with my betting articles last year into a full-blown, Twitter-involved premium article series.

You'll be able to purchase access to all of our site's Premium Betting Tools/Articles and my daily articles will come with that (look for my promo code at the end of this article to save some cash!).

In case you're curious, I've been writing at RotoBaller since 2012, focusing on a few different sports, but always with a major focus MLB. I've spent many long hours grinding season-long fantasy baseball leagues including waiver articles, strategy pieces, and plenty of daily matchup analysis too.

I'm a die hard fan of the game, and unfortunately the Pittsburgh Pirates, but luckily I have no problem betting against them when the value tells me to do so! I fared very well in our RotoBaller Expert Fantasy Baseball leagues before stepping away a few years back, and my success last year speaks for itself! I look forward to having you along for the ride in 2021.

Goals for Bell's Best Bets

I have a few goals for this MLB betting season, so I'll lay those out here first to be fully transparent about where I want this article series to go!

1) Reach a larger group of followers with serious interest. This is where RotoBaller's Premium Betting Subscription comes into play. We have a FANTASTIC community of committed fantasy, DFS, and betting analysts and followers who take this stuff really seriously, but we also have a ton of fun. I want to have as many RB members benefit from my analysis as possible while having fun and keeping followers updated on Twitter at the same time. I've found Twitter truly thrives in the role of tracking, promoting, and providing enjoyable banter for betting analysis and plays.

2) Find value in the betting lines every day, and take advantage of that value with my followers on board! We did a great job of this last season, and having an article series as well as daily Twitter updates keeps me grounded and accountable. It's very tough to win long term if you spread yourself too thin as a bettor or handicapper. But if you stick to just a few spots a day with the MOST value without forcing plays that don't make sense, a truly successful approach can thrive.

3) Stay consistent, and grind long term profit. I was admittedly a bit distracted once mid-September came around last season, as I was planning a wedding, buying a new house, and training a puppy all while juggling my full time job and the life adjustment that Covid-19 brought us. I'm happy I stepped away when I did, because I could tell my focus was waning by the day. This season, consistency and long term effectiveness will be the focus. You may not always get a huge blurb from me, and you may not get a play every single day, but you WILL get my honest, transparent grind to find value when value exists. Betting is very difficult, and maintaining focus and trusting the process is a huge part of long term success. I think you'll see what I mean very quickly if you don't already!

What to Expect

Every day by about 10 am EST you'll have a new premium betting "article" from me. The size of that article and the amount of plays can and will change from day to day, and the amount of analysis given/needed for each play will undoubtedly vary. There may be some days where I don't have an official play, but maybe I'll try to give a "lean" or two on Twitter that day if possible.

Once the article is published, a Tweet will go out automatically from our RotoBaller account, and I'll Retweet that right away from @BellRoto. Then, I'll add any other plays or confirm any pending plays via Twitter throughout the day, which will be available to the premium subscribers and any free followers. However, I won't share the full card and the results until after the night has come to a close (sometimes first thing the next morning depending on any late-night plays). I'll track my success with "units" on Twitter and in the heading of each article everyday, and hopefully this ride leads us to similar if not BETTER success than last season. So, you should DEFINITELY consider turning on alerts for my @BellRoto account to ensure you don't miss any late (and free) adds to my betting card for that day.

Again, I can't promise winners every night. If you're a gambler, you know the ups can be amazing and the downs can be brutal. Days off, especially during the MLB grind, are necessary. We'll have short slates that don't provide any value, and we'll surely have a rough stretch that leads me to step back for a day and catch my breath. No matter what, I'll give you my honest, transparent analysis and stands each day. It's a grind, but it's one that I absolutely love. And there's nothing I enjoy more than sharing it with dedicated followers who engage on Twitter!

If you're hesitant to pull the trigger, feel free to take a look at the format of my first few articles for free. I'll plan to go "behind the paywall" on Sunday 4/4, which gives you a three-day free trial to the Bell's Best Bets series. You can get instant access to these first three articles by following me and setting up Twitter alerts for my account @BellRoto.

No matter how to decide to follow this season, I'm happy to have you along for the ride! You can always hit me up on Twitter (@BellRoto) with any questions, comments, and gripes you have. I'm an open book! I am very excited to have a full season of Major League Baseball to enjoy, and I'm pumped to share this ride with some of the best fantasy/betting sports fanatics in you all at RotoBaller. Let's play ball!!
