BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+ Team Mixed Leagues, Must Own in NL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: What's with the lack of fantasy baseball love for Hector Rondon? You would think that the assigned closer for the Chicago Cubs, with very good pitching ratios thus far in 2014, should be more than 47% owned in Yahoo leagues right? Well, let us officially tell you the answer to that is yes. In 25.2 innings of work under his belt, Mr. Rondon is sporting a cool 2.45 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 1 win, 7 saves and 29 juicy strikeouts. The 9th inning job was open for discussion during the month of April, but not since he's sank his teeth in towards the beginning of May. His last save came on June 4th (and he was then on paternity leave until the 10th), so even though the Cubs are not winning every night, there are still plenty of opportunities for the hard throwing closer to get his saves for your squad. Ultimately, if you are in some need of a cheap boost in the saves category, and don't feel like overpaying in a trade for a top end closer, take a shot on Hector The Saves Collector and snag a sleeper off your league's waiver wire.
