BALLER MOVE: Draft Target in the Early to Middle Rounds in All Leagues
ANALYSIS: Garrett Richards impressed a lot of people last year, putting up ace-like numbers through 26 starts until his knee injury in late August. Had it not been for that injury, Richards could have an ADP falling in rounds six through eight along with players like James Shields, Julio Teheran, and Jake Arrieta. However, with the worry about his surgically repaired knee, this is your chance to get a potential ace at great value in your fantasy draft.
Boasting an excellent record of 13-4 with the Los Angeles Angels last year, Richards put together a 2.61 ERA. Along with his solid ERA, fantasy owners loved his 164 strikeouts while only giving up five home runs all year. As word spreads that Richards appears healthy this spring, his draft stock will begin to rise. However, some owners still might find him after round 10, which is plenty late enough to take a shot on the 26-year-old. No matter what format your league is, Richards is a great mid-round pick to fill your SP roster.
