Today's NHL Betting Picks - St. Louis Blues at Dallas Stars

O/U: 6 | Moneyline: DAL (-225)

The Dallas Stars are Central Division champions and will finish their regular season by hosting the rival St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.

The Blues will finish its season as the top non-playoff team in the Western Conference, although they still sit six points back of the Los Angeles Kings for the second and final Wild Card spot in the west. Their 18-19-3 record on the road was part of their undoing, but they do carry some value in this one.

A non-playoff club carries players with plenty to play for this time of the year. Players continue to play for contracts and their livelihoods. The club sits 24th in overall offense and 15th with 3.05 goals against per game, while both ends of their special teams are no better than 20th in the league. Tonight's start will go to Jordan Binnington who owns a 2.88 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage on the season. Most impressive is his 13.88 goals saved above average which ranks 10th of 71 qualified netminders.

For the Stars, there simply isn't much to play for. The same theory on the Blues applies to the Stars, but Dallas' focus is on a lengthy postseason run. We don't know who will dress and who will not at this point, but it's likely Scott Wedgewood will start over Jake Oettinger in this one. Wedgewood owns a 2.85 GAA and a .899 Sv% on the season across 32 appearances.

The Stars will be careful to keep their players healthy in a game that means nothing to their season, so let's roll the dice and ride with the Blues at big-time value.

Pick: Blues moneyline (+180, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Today's NHL Betting Picks - Edmonton Oilers at Arizona Coyotes

O/U: 6.5 | Moneyline: EDM (-175)

The Edmonton Oilers are the only team in the NHL with two games remaining on their regular-season schedule but look for them to proceed with caution, as well.

They are locked into the No. 2 seed in the Pacific Division, the only matter to decide is whether they will face the Golden Knights or the Kings on home ice in the first round. We know that Connor McDavid missed a couple of games due to a lower-body injury and he already notched assist No. 100 on the season. Do the Oilers risk further injury on the superstar in the final two games? We don't know at this point, but caution will be at the forefront here.

It's a dynamic Oilers offense, of course, as they sit first in expected goals for per 60 minutes at five-on-five this season and fourth in overall offense. They're also in the top 10 defensively both overall and in expected goals against at five-on-five.

As for the 'Yotes, this is their final game in Arizona, barring a new franchise in the coming years. Moving to Salt Lake City for next season, Arizona has struggled at both ends of the ice this season. Hence, they sitting 22 points out of a playoff spot entering their regular-season finale.

This is going to be a tough one for the Oilers to gear up for. They have little to play for, while the Coyotes' players certainly want to send their fans away with a final memory before departing for Utah. The Coyotes boast solid value at plus-money odds in this one.

Pick: Coyotes moneyline (+145, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Good luck, RotoBallers! Let's cash some bets and make some money today!
